Was just in Jim Thorpe and stayed across the street. Wanted to dine here for the Banana Foster dessert. Menu displayed out front had "Closed-Owner Retired" written on menu

Ahh The Speakeasy! Very cool one of a kind experience. It’s like stepping back in time. Yes, the furniture is old fashioned (like one review mentioned) but that just adds to the charm. It’s not a sparkly chic modern bar in NYC, it’s supposed to be a bit of a clandestine hang out. And the bartender dresses the part too! Try the absinthe since it’s what their known for. It goes down smooth too and is served chilled over a sugar cube like it should be. It’s still a place not to be missed while in Jim Thorpe and I can’t wait to visit again!

Everything about Tony Stella's is exceptional. The food, atmosphere, staff, drinks, service. It's all top notch. Tony and our server Phil did everything that they could to make our night extremely enjoyable. Try the crab cakes you won't be disappointed. Before or after dinner, stop by at the Absinthe bar. You will be glad you did!

Every moment of this dinner was fantastic. The drinks were great, the food was amazing and the service was so incredibly personable. We went for our anniversary and Tony made it an unforgettable experience.

We WERE good for eating there at least 4 times a year ($175+ each visit) when we visit Jim Thorpe. We would drive over an hour to have dinner there. We always recommended this restaurant to our friends. That now all ends. We love Jim Thorpe and there are many other restaurants that would like our business. Last Saturday, 10/24/2020, we went there for our annual Anniversary Dinner. It started off bad when Tony was speaking with a customer commenting for everyone to hear, that COVID-19 is fake and will go away after the election. He was taking everyone's orders, walking around chatting with people, and serving the dinners with no mask. By the time we left he was operating over the 50% capacity set by the Governor. As a business owner that is very insensitive and unprofessional to comment on his political views. Obviously he does not know anyone that has suffered from this virus.

I can’t believe we found this place in the middle of Jim Thorpe, Pa. Unbelievable!! From the seating and Stellatini to start, to the Crab Cakes and Bone-in Ribeye, everything was perfect. Top it off with Banana’s Foster and a little notch of the belt notch fix, what can I say about going off the diet? Tony the owner and Phil our server made our experience one we won’t soon forget. A gourmet experience to repeat. Thank you Tony.

Oh my my! This meal is definitely one of the best I've ever eaten!! The filet on bed of blue cheese was a burst of heaven for my palate! I felt it was very important for the whole staff to make this the best experience ever!! They were extremely attentive. The owner Tony was totally involved in the whole process! What a delight this little gem was!!

We didn't dine at Tony Stella's this trip but we loved the speakeasy vibe on the second floor, complete with Billie Holiday and Bessy Smith. Pull away the red velvet curtain and step into another era!

We just stopped at the outside bar and ordered two strawberry daiquiris. They were a waste of $24! Worst drinks I ever had and the price was ridiculous

My wife and I ate at Tony Stella’s for our anniversary, and we loved it! Tony himself ran the front of the house and checked in with us throughout the evening. He is obviously very passionate about his work and was eager to please. (Tony was a bit of a talker, but we enjoyed his conversation :) ). Our server was also very attentive and friendly, present just as much as we needed him to be. Everything from the bar was top-notch -- we had a "Stella-tini" to start, a great French red with our meals, and an absinthe cocktail after dinner. The menu was limited (food prices are so high now with Covid, so Tony chose to just offer a few items to control costs); happily, the things we wanted were still available. My wife had the crab cakes -- seared just right, with NO filler -- and I had a super-tender filet... it really melted in my mouth. And the tiramisu! A huge portion (but we still could have eaten twice as much!). From ambiance to service to cuisine, Tony Stella's was exactly what we were hoping for in a romantic dinner.

We had just left a concert at the Mauch Chunk Opera House, as we were walking by Tony Stella's Encore the owner stopped us to tell us about the upstairs speakeasy & absinthe bar. We decided to go up and check it out. Loved the decor and the lighting. They had a good selection of absinthes. The restroom was clean
