Philter was definitely worth the 30 min drive. The iced americano was made perfectly with 3 shots of espresso, very bold & full of flavor. The egg & cheese on sourdough was fresh and flavorful. The atmosphere inside is comfortable and brilliantly decorated.
We were visiting from out of town and honestly my favorite coffee house back home is hard to beat...but Philter was just as delicious. The staff was nice and helpful. They absolutely deserve that high rating and when we visit again, I already know where to stop for the best coffee in the area.

The best bacon egg and cheese I’ve ever had. Not greasy, the egg was perfectly cooked, the bread was toasted and crisp (not soggy), and the cheese - wow - the flavor of the cheese makes the sandwich but doesn’t overwhelm it. Everything else about this place is awesome but definitely order a sandwich!
Started the work day at Philter while waiting for Kennett Glass to open, and I’m so glad I did. Excellent cappuccino (could have had it without sugar! will next time!), delicious parfait, great vibe.

Without posting a long drawn out review, Philter makes the best espresso drinks around, hands down. The owner Chris and his team are always friendly, welcoming and very knowledgeable. It’s rare to see a coffee shop that will take the time to ensure they’re pulling properly dialed in shots. Order a cortado, a double shot, a pour over or whatever you want… whoever you choose it’ll be great!
