Adorable local coffee shop, I love the greenery and the vibes were really nice. Perfect to chill and work for a bit. The food smelled really good but I didn't get any so I can't comment on it.
I will say that I find that a lavender latte is a great way to judge a coffee shop; many places overdo the lavender or it tastes really artificial, or too sweet. Philter nailed it- The perfect floral coffee.
We'll definitely be back to try the breakfast sandwiches and to sketch a little more in their community sketchbook (such a cute idea!)

Great place to get excellent espresso and draw a mouse ( ╹▽╹ ). Highly recommend for a local place that will make you feel right at home. And most important... the latte was excellent. Breakfast sandwich great with added herbs. I also bought some artisan chocolate Soma which is YUM (Old school rough ground).

Stopped in to Philter for a quick coffee and place to work while in the area.
I got the iced autumn latte, which was very tasty. Balanced, a little nutty and not overly sweet.
The interior was cozy with lots of plants. I do want to note that there was a lot of built up dirt/grime in the bathroom, which was a bit off putting.

Boyfriend got an espresso pull that was too acidic to drink.
The girls there were also slow to get me my food (it was ready in the back, they just forgot about it). After about 20 minutes my bf kindly went up to them to ask about it, one girl gave him a sympathetic look and asked if I was “getting hangry”. I was literally nothing but nice to them, so we were both confused. I left feeling bad and regretting my choice to go there.

the vibes at philter were great! i had a wonderful genmaicha tea that came in a beautiful ceramic mug along with a nice tofu sweet potato salad. there were lots of beautiful plants hanging everywhere, and it made for a cozy and pleasant space to do some work in for a few hours. highly recommend!

While this IS a beautiful coffee shop, I can not speak for the coffee as I’m not a coffee drinker. It’s nice when there are other options to choose from for us non-coffee drinkers…. Ordered a hot chocolate, it was just meh-sadly.
We’ve stopped by Philter to grab coffees a few times, and every time is a happy memory. It’s a peaceful and relaxing atmosphere. The staff and patrons are always friendly and welcoming and the coffees and drinks are great. If you want an exceptional small town, unique coffee shop experience. Go here.

Ive never had a more complicated discussion about a simple cappucino order in the 40 years I've been ordering cappuccinos. Not only was the duscussion unnecessary, but when you're charged 6 dollars for a weak latte at best is horrible. When customers order a 16 oz csppucino the answer should be coming right up, two shots or 3 and what is your milk preference? These guys are kinda full of themselves and won't go back better places right across the street are available who get it.
