Careful they surcharge debit cards which is illegal
I have been coming to this diner for years. I recently went for lunch with my daughter and was very disappointed in my bill when I received it. I know a lot of establishments are charging for credit card use, but they also added additional “up charges” on my daughter’s breakfast items since they were ordered past 11 AM. With all the additional up charges and the credit card charge, my bill was inflated by almost 5 dollars more than it was to start. The food was very good,...read full review
Cream chip beef was excellent. Home fries were great. Only thing I didn’t like was I paid $4.50 for a very small portion of corned beef hash

Centerville Diner 1 is a very popular diner with excellent waitstaff and fantastic service. The food is good, with very generous portions and an authentic, delicious homemade taste. The atmosphere is bright and clean. The breakfast options are great, and the reputation for excellent crab cakes and broasted chicken is well-deserved. Don't miss the senior (55+) specials for good selections. A customer learned the Western omelette does not always come with cheese here. The Taco salad presentation was a hit at an office lunch. Service is consistently friendly and attentive, with staff going above and beyond, such as straining onions from the French onion soup for a customer on a liquid diet and making iced coffee not on the menu. Prices are reasonable. Plenty of parking and quick service. It is a wonderful local spot for a hearty meal that offers a personal family feel.
