El Friquitin de Villalba Puerto Rican • $

“I came here today with my boyfriend for a lunch date. We shared a huge plate of arroz con gandules, pernil, sweet plantains, alcappuria,& papa reina with a Malta. First of all, the portions are HUGE! The food is nothing short of delicious ? and the pernil has just the right amount of fat and man it was juicy. All in all it was a great gem in Lancaster. I will definitely be back for Mofongo soon.“

“It smells like my Abuela’s house!!!! Food was very good and the sweet lady behind the counter was a pure delight. Felt very much like home when ordering food. There is nothing about the presentation of the store that’s going to blow you away but when you have people who love what they are doing and food that makes you yell out, “YES PAPI!!” - who needs shiny things?!? Highly recommend for a quick lunch or dinner, AND COME HUNGRY - they will definitely feed you!“

“This restaurant is the most unique meal experience I have had in a long time. The positive/ good feeling energy vibrates from the time I entered until my exit. The food is exceptional and the decor that displays local artists work is very appealing. I felt like I was at an excellent cooks home and, they invited me to a warm casual dinner. This is a must check out place. I literally loved everything about it. The owners are the best, very warm and welcoming.“

“The mofongo & pork here is delicious ?. They put lil pieces of pig fat in the mofongo. The mofongo was moist. I like that they put a piece of crispy fat in your platter in case you want to add it to the mofongo. Its a pretty good size mofongo too. Sorry no pics, I ate it all ?. Everybody's nice. The inside is clean but small. Im definitely getting more mofongo here.Kid-friendliness: They have wing dings for kids?“

“Was delighted to find such big taste come from such a small restaurant. The best Dominican food in Lancaster . Take it from someone who rather cook there own food verses gambling with his hard earned money rather wasting it on takeout. If the ribs taste as amazing as the chicken I’m definitely going to be a weekly regular customer. 10 stars for sure.“

“My first time there, was impressed with the outlay in the restaurant. The service was very good, and the food, well let’s just say this is my new spot for excellent Dominican food. Only downside was the guava juice was outdated, dated at 11/2023 , that’s the reason for the four stars out of five“

“I’ve been going to this place for years. I don’t get there often enough and under the newer ownership the food still tastes great. I ordered sancocho and they didn’t have it in stock, but the sopa de salchicha y jamón was delicious as well. The broth so flavorful and comforting. I also think the seafood & pizza empanadillas are the best and my husband loves when I bring home the sorullos de maíz. Definitely stop in for a bite. I usually don’t take the time to write reviews.Parking: Park in the parking lot for the playground which is right next to the restaurant.“
