Moved to the area somewhat recently and have been trying/experimenting with all the different restaurants around to find a few favorites and this is definitely a hidden gem favorite for me. People in the area always talk about Stove & Tap being this great spot but in my experience the food was meh, the portions were tiny and everything was way overpriced. HOWEVER, when coming to Montellas, the portions sizes were great, the food was good, (Had the rodeo burger with fries), the beer was cold and the service/atmosphere was good. I would recommend this place over some of the local pubs in the area 1000%. Definitely going to keep coming back when looking for something affordable and tasty!
I’ve been a few times only because my brother worked there. Decided to go on a Sunday. Wasn’t too crowded, I sat at a table around the bar. There was a bartender that was friendly, took my order and made my drink. Another server delivering food delivered it to the wrong table, the other table were equally confused, however she disappeared too quickly and never looked our way again. Until their food came out, she grabbed my food from them and put it on my table…. If you’re not sitting at the bar or a regular be prepared to be ignored.
