“My family has been here quite a few times, and for the most part, the food is very good. I think the crab cake was the only thing any of us ordered that was subpar and would not order again. All the traditional Irish dishes are very good. Their chicken fingers, burgers, and fries are also delicious…probably the best I can think of out of the bar/restaurants we go to in the area. Prices are reasonable. We always receive good service and drinks never sit empty for long. Unfortunately the one big miss for us is that their beer isn’t very cold.“

“Absolutely fantastic experience at Ganly's Irish Pub and Restaurant! The service was top-notch — the wait staff was incredibly friendly and attentive, making us feel right at home. The night manager was also very welcoming and personable.

We both enjoyed our meals greatly — I had the Maryland mac and cheese and my wife got the beef stroganoff. Both dishes were absolutely delicious, super rich, flavorful, and served with huge portions. The quality and taste totally justified the slightly higher prices, especially since we ended up taking leftovers home and enjoyed them for two more meals.

Highly recommend Ganly's for anyone looking for an authentic, hearty meal with excellent service. We'll definitely be returning!“

“The service was perfect. The food was delicious. Fresh bread softened butter. I had scallops wrapped in bacon with a fabulous horseradish sauce. Mango salad. I had crab cakes, roasted red potatoes and coleslaw. I brought a delicious cake home with butter rum sauce. I highly recommend this restaurant.“

The kind of folks who go out of their way to say hello as they make their way to the bar.Sometimes, after work, feeling a bit peckish, I will peruse the menu and discover some great interpretations of salads (Caesar) and snacks (Truffle fries) that hit the spot and keep me busy enjoying one of my favorite past times: eating. And from what I've seen at various and sundry tables at various times through the course of any given evening, this kitchen delivers hearty inspired entrees sure to give you reason to give positive word of mouth with regard to culinary talent. And you can do your laundry next door! With a personable, caring owner who is there day in and day out? This is the epitome of a neighborhood bar. The jukebox is great as well! Don't let the appearance fool you, this is one of the greatest spots you will find in the Reading area.“
