Pocono Tavern Reviews
Just WOW! The atmosphere is good. The food is just amazing. The Tomahawk Chop is delicious. The balsamic reduction a perfect combination. And the deserts: wonderful.! (Try the Brownie with Ice Cream or Apple Cobbler with Ice Cream. Oh heck, get both!) We went last Saturday, (it was highly recommended by a friend) And I want to go back this coming Friday.
Been there two times under new owner. Both times I ordered the pork chop. It was right out of the Flintstones, it was huge and cooked just right. Service was excellent and it looked like everyone was enjoying their meal. As we were leaving I saw a desert being delivered that looked big enough for two. So tonight we are going back. I plan to abuse my blood sugar big time..
Generous portions, delicious food, unique menu
From sandwiches and cheesesteaks to pasta and seafood, every meal has been tasty! A place we will consistently return to for good food!

Pocono Tavern is a popular spot worth visiting. The Pork Tomahawk and Cuban sandwich are highly recommended. The Pork Chop is large and cooked perfectly, just like in the Flintstones! The atmosphere is lively, and the service is friendly and attentive, with staff like Stacey going out of their way to make guests feel welcome. The menu has been improved, and the food consistently impresses. The Tomahawk Chop is flavorful, and the balsamic reduction pairs perfectly. Desserts are a highlight—try the Brownie with Ice Cream or Apple Cobbler with Ice Cream, or enjoy both! The draft list offers decent options, and the lively vibe makes it a great place to enjoy a meal. Some dishes, like chicken parmigiana, may disappoint, but others like the stuffed flounder are very good. The restaurant does not serve soups or side salads, but the overall experience and delicious desserts make it a worthwhile visit. Guests have praised the fresh, delicious food, large portions, good prices, and friendly staff. The hand-cut petal fries are especially loved, and seasonal cocktails like the rosemary maple old fashioned are worth trying. Overall, Pocono Tavern is a little restaurant out of the way but well worth the trip.
