“The live band was great. All the food was fresh and hot. The only disappointment was they had no bleenies, potato cakes. We were told they couldn't get anyone to do them. I know it's labor intensive. I grew up helping my elder Polish aunts to prepare for St. Joseph's block party in Shamokin. I can only hope our community will pull together to make them next year. I'd be happy to lend a hand.“

“I Highly recommend fromThe Alibi Hotel & Nightclub with their deep-fried cheeseburger and believe me, the cheeseburgers actually deep-fried it in the fryer as I never knew you could deep fry a cheeseburger before but now I know and it is so mouthwatering delicious along with the side of the fried pickles with ranch dressing, dipping sauce, and nothing like it ice cold beer to drink to a bottle of ice cold water when this was my first time here and I’ll definitely come back again with such great owners, great bartenders, cooks, and staffs. “I haven't been there much, but the last time we went, the live music artist was fantastic. Very talented. It was a Friday night around 10:30, not overly packed, but a typical fun crowd. Service is always excellent
Very attentive staff every time I've been there. Friendly people. I have been there when it was a little more rowdy, but still fun and great music. Good prices, and not much food, but not bad for what they have. I don't know if the kitchen is open all the time, but they do advertise specials on FB. Dancing on most Saturdays is not really my thing, but a good time the one Saturday I did go. Friday is live music or I've seen Kareoke advertised there also. I haven't been yet, but I plan to eventually. I'll update then.“

There was bbq brisket, Mac and cheese and coleslaw.

Was pleased with meal.

Brisket was tender and had some good smokiness.

Very very good n cream Mac n cheese that wasn't mushy.

Not a coleslaw lover, but the slaw was fresh n crisp, probably vinegar centric instead of mayo n water. So I ate more slaw than the usual none.

“Good food but don’t order door dash/delivery it’s usually soggy. The last order I got was so waterlogged from condensation the fries were completely ruined and the chicken was barely edible.

“Recently got married and chose The Pottsville Zone to cater for our wedding and a dinner the night before. I also had my bridal shower here. Paul and Kerry were so helpful with the initial planning and making sure everything was organized for the catering at our reception that was a different location. We chose to do a small cocktail hour and buffet style dinner. There were plenty of options on the menu to pick from. They accommodated to the requests we had and were able to set everything up the day before, cleaned up during/after the dinner and made the whole process so easy. Everyone loved the food and it was a great day! Thank you again. Highly recommend for any event!“

“I don't know if google maps is going to display my menu photos so I'm posting them here. They serve the full menu until 9 pm and fried food until 11 pm.

Edit: I net the new owner. The inside of this amazing bar is totally renovated. This spot is a gem. They are open this Monday (labor day) and going foward will be open 7 days a week 12pm-2am.“

“I just recently discovered this little gem with great empanadas, pastel del choclo and many other Chilean favorites. The food tastes fantastic! The Cafe is situated in the middle of a park making it a very relaxing place to eat and hang out. The staff is also really friendly. It is much recommended!“

“Went to Millie's Kitchen at the Uptown Tavern last night, 11/16/2020. It is a "Hole in the Wall) type place. Very casual place: plastic utensils, paper towels for napkins, etc. The food was excellent. The portions were huge. Many items to choose from. The bar keep was very engaging. I had the mini tacos as an appetizer with the boneless chicken wings w/sweet bar-b-que sauce and a chocolate martini. I'm still eating the wings today. Frank had the beef cheese steak sandwich w/hot sauce and he loved the taste and texture of the meat. we will be going back again SOON“

“You can just feel the history in this place and it's fun to explore. If you're a first time visitor, get a seat in the basement down by the old chuch tunnel.
Upstairs, take a good look at that bookcase in the corner, it's actually a door leading to another large room.
As for the food, fantastic wings and cheesesteaks. Great drink selection, the freshest Yuengling in the area and the Guinness blends are a lot of fun. My personal favorite is the Darklord (Guinness and Lord Chesterfield).
This is a must-visit location when you're in the Skook.“
