Ive been here twice. First time the food was very good and they had a blueberry beer that was fantastic.
Second time I was in town I went right back and the food was good but my whole dinner was overshadowed by the fact that I had to sit at the bar and listen to the large bearded man brag to all the other employees about how much he loved turning away large parties and families if they tried to sit down and eat with someone under 21....they do not have signs anywhere...

I came to the area for work and I just had a really terrible day at work. HEATHER the waitress literally made it all go away. She saw how uncomfortable I was by myself and I requested to sit outside! She complimented me and instantly made my day. I didn’t get her name so I had to call and ask! I was there no more than 30 minute but I’ve never gotten a great service in this area like that AND SHE WAS TRAINING a staff at that. This was the only highlight of my day and I just...

We stopped at Broken Axe on our way to State College. Glad we did! Fried chicken sandwich, mac & cheese, Caesar wrap, fries, all excellent. We visited on a Wednesday night and it felt like a weekend. The vibe was lively but very chill. Our servers were attentive and everything came out quick and hot. The beer selection was better than some places twice as big. Really great hidden gem.
