“A bit disappointed. Love the space but my meal was nothing special. Mixed vegetables were good but only warm. Baked potato was warmer, but not hot. The star of the show would have been the crab cake but there was nothing special there. The menu says jumbo lump crab. If there was lump crab meat, then they shredded it up to make the cake. I could get a crab cake that good or better almost anywhere. We've had good food here in the past, but unfortunately this meal was nothing special.“

“My daughter and I stopped in last Sunday for some veggie wraps and coffee. Everything was great from the moment we walked in the door. The coffee shop was immaculately clean, the staff was so friendly and efficient and most importantly the food and coffee were awesome. Definitely will recommend Gather 256 to all. To me it's the best coffee/cafe in York! Thank you to Tyler. Sarah Molly, and Nina (hopefully I have everyone that was there Sunday afternoon) for being so awesome on our first time there. It definitely will be our special stop in York!“

“My Friends & Our Teenage Children always watch the weekly cookie selections. The Banana Pudding Cookies, the Layered Different Fruit cake cookies, none of them have ever disappointed. The Cookies are so large We slice them into pieces so We can try all the different varieties.“

“I had the chance to try Wired Chef’s food at a recent event, and it was amazing! The teriyaki meatballs with white rice were absolutely delicious. I’ll definitely be looking for Wired Chef at future events or ordering from them myself!“

“We visited this location on 4/4/2026. We decided to eat here since it's close to.the college my son attends. This was our first time ever eating at Cheddar's. The food and service was excellent. My son loved the Buffalo chicken wraps. My daughter got the tender meal but only at the fries, because she ate some of my wife's steak. Normally we have to find a place that serves lamb for her to eat something other than tenders when we go out.“

“We just celebrated our Dover Area High School graduate this past Saturday (5/31/25) at the Roosevelt Tavern, and everything—from the food to the atmosphere to the service—was absolutely FANTASTIC.
What made the day even more meaningful is the personal connection we have with this place. The father of my children, Edward “Peewee” Green, was a chef here many years ago under the previous owner, Bob Schimmel. Sadly, he passed away in November of 2012. Though my kids were only 4 and 5 years old at the time, many patrons still fondly remember him and speak so highly of his time at the Roosevelt.
What we didn’t expect—what truly left us speechless—was the incredible gesture from the current owner. Unbeknownst to us, he had held onto one of Peewee’s old chef coats for the past 15 years, and he gifted it to our graduate during the celebration. That thoughtful, deeply touching act gave our kids a priceless piece of their father’s legacy—a physical connection to a man they’ve heard so much about, but lost too soon.
We are forever grateful for that moment. It meant the world to me and to our family. Thank you, from the bottom of our hearts.“

“This is my favorite place for pizza and kids food, but I had never tried their Lasagna until today! I’m really “picky” when it comes to Lasagna, but I needed to cheer myself up 😆, and I was so glad I did! The garlic bread is perfectly done and the Lasagna exceeded my expectations! “Chill place to relax with a coffee and a muffin. The cranberry orange muffin was so good. We also had a red velvet and chocolate cheesecake muffin. All three were perfectly moist and enough to fill you up for breakfast. The latte and mochas that we ordered were well made with just the right amount of sweetness. We ordered a Coconut Butter Latte, a Peanut Butter Caramel Mocha, and Caramel Mudslide Mocha.“

“Great happy hour deals from 4-6 with half off drafts, so my peach sour was only $3.50! We sat at the bar, and they had a wide selection of 30 beers on tap. I got the poke bowl with tuna for $18 which I thought was delicious and reasonably priced, but I would like to come back and try some of their happy hour food specials!“
“We stayed this past Summer in July and we loved everything about it!!!! The Shoe is so neat and unique on the outside as well as the inside!!! Inside was like a museum to us! “Delicious food and very reasonably priced. I had the best Mexican food thing I've ever eaten I forget what it's called but it had chicken, chorizo, and steak and nopales (prickly pear) in this amazing sauce and it came in a little lava rock bowl with guacamole, beans and tortillas on the side. It was SO GOOD. Thanks, guys, I will be back again. Attached a Pic so if anyone wondered what it was. The chorizo nachos were amazing too.“

“OMG the food, the atmosphere, the drinks, and the staff were phenomenal. We got birria tacos and a taco, as well as the fundido dip and jalapeno poppers. Our food was simply divine and delicious and I with food sensitivities was happily surprised at how everything was plated. Our server was super friendly, and amazing, even when an allergen popped up in the margarita. (Cherry topper) Go here for great food, and a great time.“

But hadn't frequented the white rose after they went to a more upscale setting, my old high school homie suggested we go there and after we got seated I found out his out of town visit was for a death in his family that he assumed I knew about but I did not... now your staff being as great as you guys are and the food made this bad personal experience for us very nice otherwise, and it made me feel I may visit again sometime for lunch and a cold 🍺“

“Our first time visiting this establishment and we could not have been more impressed! The service was welcoming and excellent. The small plates were not very small and were absolutely delicious! The chef clearly knows how to make dishes taste savory. The beer and wine selection is top notch and our waiter was well educated. There is a piano in the main dining area, though it was not being played during our visit, the vibe of the restaurant conveys it would be an amazing piano bar experience. Oh, did I mention the food was fantastic? There is a bar and lounge upstairs that offers a small and relaxing getaway from the main area on the first floor. Will go back often!“

“The place is nice and cheerful. There is nice music and a great atmosphere. The area which it is located at seems great and it was interesting to see a Blizzard Run 5k sign. I never knew that existed and it seemed interesting to me. It was also interesting to see one of those little libraries right next to the restaurant. Even though I arrived during their opening time, it took a bit for them to actually open their doors.

“I really do enjoy this Starbucks location. The staff is always very friendly, and they make amazing drinks! On 3/20 The café was a bit overwhelmed with mobile and in-store orders. There was one staff member that was taking drinks from the pick up station and placing them over onto the mobile order pick up table which was great, but would’ve been helpful if names were called before just moving the drinks. It created a bit of a cluster since customers were unsure if she was going to read their names or just keep the cups in the mobile pick up area. I would only suggest just reading names before placing them on a different table so that customers can easily grab them and go :)“
