This was our first time at DBs and we can't wait for the next. We tried the meat sampler platter to see what was good... lo and behold... everything was awesome. The smoked hot sausage was out of this world, it was tender, juicy, and hot; the brisket was tender and smoky. In the sampler you get a decent portion of all the meats they have; enough that two hungry adults didn't have to order anything extra. If your in the Cooks Forest area, give DBs a try, you won't be disappointed.

This lace is a roadside stand. Seating is outside.We tried different meats, sides, and sauces. I tried the turkey because few people have it with their Raz Heat. Perfect pairing. The turkey was smokey but moist, and the sauce was smooth with a mild heat.Brisket had a perfect crust, smokey flavor, and more meat than fat. His sauce was the Heat. Mild but a nice kick.Sides: Try those salt potatoes! Two slaws. One is creamy, this is the only thing that was just ok. One oil/vinegar, this one was very good.Parking: Gravel parking lot.

Have come here a minimum of once a year since 2015. The food is always consistent & I travel from Philadelphia (5hr drive) just to come here & have this BBQ. If that doesn’t encourage everyone to come try this place, I don’t know what else will. I did notice portions have gone down a little bit but prices are fair for the amount of food & for the quality of the food. Great energy and the boss-man always thanks everyone for trying the food & coming back. Can’t wait to get back up here. Until next time, DB’s!

The shack is exactly what you expect but the owner is awesome and the food is great. If you love BBQ, you can't go wrong with really anything on this menu and with sauce choices, you got plenty of heat levels to choose from. Mac, beans, and salted potatoes are among the favorites when we go from the sides. Definately a place to check out for sure, worth the short 10 to 15 minute drive from Cooks Forest.

Stopped in for supper with hubs and adult kids while we were camping nearby. This place has been on my radar for years, but we’ve never stopped. I lived in TX for a decade and am a bit of a brisket snob. This place did not disappoint. Between us, I believe we tried almost every meat and side. I had the brisket platter with beans and hot corn. The brisket was tender, seasoned well, had a nice smoke ring and just the right amount of fat. The sauces were all delicious. The beans were outstanding as was the corn. I also sampled the Mac and cheese which I would order on another visit. Everyone was pleased. The only complaint was from my hubs who felt the ribs were small. A daughter also had ribs and she thought they were great. The owner came out and wanted our honest opinion. Super nice guy who is obviously proud of what he had created with this place. Will 100% return.
