“We had a surprise 30th birthday party here for our son‘s birthday and it was a halfway point between two locations so doing everything from afar would’ve normally been tough, but it was so easy with Kelly’s help. She was truly amazing and I could not have asked for anything better. Kelly facilitated everything and made the day so easy for us so we can enjoy the . Such a fun place with the garage doors open, watching nfl games on the tvs and cornhole - what more could you want! And the food was amazing as were the drinks. Manheim area is very lucky to have this little gem. Thank you Kelly for making my day a little less stressful - you are the best !“

“My family and I went here for the first time last night. It was very good. The portion sizes are amazing. You definitely get your money's worth. Alyssa was our server and she did great! She told us it was her first day when we asked what the vegetable of the day was because she wasn't sure what it was. If you leave hungry it's nobodies fault but your own. “Amazing food—honestly, everything from the Kathmandu Fry is outstanding. The Joshra Pakura is one of my absolute favorites, and the sticky tofu is incredible too. The list could go on and on! “As always, fantastic ribs and sides at Rocky’s! Got the original sweet barbecue sauce that was outstanding! The dry rub on the ribs is delicious and they are so tender. Got one of my favorite corn cakes with the jalapeño jam and a side of mac & cheese. Brought home some bread pudding to try with dinner tonight. We love stopping at Rocky’s and highly recommend you check them out!“

“The staff and the owners are extremely kind and open and genuine. Currently enjoying an amazing coffee cake muffin and a cup of coffee while enjoying the outdoor seating.

The ONLY negative is that, while they have plenty of seating for a coffee shop, they’re seem to be popular enough to keep most all tables full, so seating MIGHT be tough depending on when you show up.

“We have been going there for decades. Generous portions (at good prices) give at least one more meal from leftovers. Rarely have room for the good-looking desserts, but when we do, they are great. Vegetables often disappoint, but a double order of the excellent fries provides potatoes with our eggs the next morning.“

They were fantastic. BUT the chicken corn chowder was even better. In fact: the best I have ever had, and we live in Lancaster County. You make some of the best onion rings around and in your infinite wisdom decide to take them off the menu?? “Fantastic product! Ive never been to a tea shop before. But I got peach green tea, which i thought was very simple and basic. They some how managed to make it a flavor explosion in my mouth. Flavors ive never tasted before, so good, so refreshing. Will 100% be back. For the record I live 2.5 hours away and will come back for their tea. $5.15 for 18 floz again, worth every penny with how good it was!

Also, extremely fast service. 1 customer in front of me. And mine was ready right after hers was, about 30 seconds after paying. Also, I watched them make it. They took their time to make sure the tea was made perfectly with perfect portions. Truly remarkable!“

“This place is hands down one of the top restaurants in Pennsylvania, maybe even the United States. Places can definitely benefit from taking lessons how they prepare food here at John J Jeffries. My wife and I were taking back by how delicious everything was prepared and tasted. Down to the scrumptious dessert.
We discovered this place while while visiting Lancaster one weekend, there is a great app the I highly recommend call Seed Oil Scout, it's less than $10 for a whole year and it lets you know what restaurants cook with healthy methods. Extra Virgin Olive 🫒 Oil, instead of the poisonous seed oil which are slowly killing our society. This place is the best, farm to table. I've eaten at some of the nicest restaurants in the Philadelphia area and nothing comes close.
I was very taken back by some of the one star ⭐ reviews, I recommend that everyone due their due diligence and check the one star reviews first it gives you a good idea of what the place is going to be like, unfortunately you have to wade through a bunch of spoiled brats that just like to complain, one person goes on about their bratty loud kid and how they were racially profiled, really. Some people just think their kids can do no wrong. I have 14 and believe me, sometimes they are loud and need to go to the bathroom for a spanking. If you do read the 1 star reviews you will unfortunately see a trend, it's not the food. Staffing issues comes up over and over, it's very difficult in this day and age to find good help and as you can see they can encourage people to leave undeserved one⭐ Also it's interesting to mention that when you look at Newest reviews there is a one ⭐ and 2 ⭐⭐ ⭐'s reviews but they were nearly 6 months ago so hopefully the issues have been addressed. I wish John J Jeffries all the luck. I can't wait to eat their again. I have shared our experience with countless friends. Plus our server was extraordinary! Thank you.“

“I came here for a trivia night event and had the Sea-duction with a side of green beans and a baked potato. The seafood was tender and well-seasoned. I especially enjoyed the broiled flounder. The baked potato was cooked just right and came with butter and sour cream. I absolutely loved the seasoning on the green beans and they were tender without being overcooked. The service was prompt and friendly, especially with the business of the evening. The dining area was open with an inviting ambiance. I would come back again and sample some more of their menu in the future!“

Sadly, their creme brulee was lacking: it was barely warm, the top was burnt, it was a looser consistency than it should be. etc. I've had way better creme brulee that's as it should be and this was not it; if you're looking for a traditional creme brulee, I'd look elsewhere.“

“By far hands down the best burgers I’ve had!! This place was originally a butcher shop from what I’ve heard and it shows! The meat is so delicious and you won’t be dissatisfied with any of their burgers. I’m a bit of a burger connoisseur and this place takes the cake!“

“First time here. I got the fried bao buns and Korean bbq wings. The bao buns had such great potential but the meat inside 2 out of the 3 of them was like burnt jersey scraps rather than a cut of meat. The taste was great but I was really disappointed in the quality. The wings were absolutely delicious, but I’m not big on spicy food and there was no warning on the menu that the sauce would be spicy. Still totally loved them.

It was VERY cold in the restaurant. My group stayed bundled up the whole time. I know it’s the dead of winter, but it was really uncomfortable.“
