I've been to other Max & Erma's before and wasn't very impressed. But this one is really good. We regularly get take out from here. The food is your general American fare with burgers, salads and more complex dishes. They have excellent salads (we really like the Pittsburgh Salad and the Southern Fried Chicken Salad). This has become our "go to" dinner stop on our long treks between Virginia and Wisconsin. The food is great, but more importantly the staff is absolutely phenomenal. We have been here a handful of times over the past few years and have always felt very welcome and have had servers who are incredibly friendly and go above and beyond for their customers.
