“My fiancée and I had our stag and drag in the banquet room. Everything was great! The space was perfect for us, the food was delicious, and the service was excellent! It was just my fiancée and I planning our stag and Debbie was great at helping us make sure we had everything we needed. So many of our guests came up to us raving about the food (and we had leftovers to bring home). The bartender and chef were so helpful we actually ran out of food at one point and they were able to help us get more made during the event and the bar service went super smoothly! I would 100% recommend to anyone looking for a large event venue! Thank you for having us.“

“~ I was 5 years old & sit at this bar and drink Cherry Sodas with my dad. This was in the 80’s the OG owner was always nice & gave me quarters to play tunes on the juke box.. This is one of my favorite childhood memories growing up on old 99~ at the end of the 80’s ??? The next door neighbor rallied some troops & built a fence, because of the noise from the bands..I hate that fence..~ In the 90’s place used to be packed.. the parking lot was always filled. “This is a completely different place than when I used to sing there professionally for years! While the old place was absolutely phenomenal and I miss the owner dearly, the new staff is exceptional and the crowd/clientele is amazing! I have yet to try their food but many people were enjoying their food, the drinks were reasonably priced, and there was a wonderful energy in the room. The atmosphere was exceptional, it reminded me of when people used to go to watch live music and there was standing room only. If you want to hear live bands this is the place to go! I'm looking forward to going again and finding out what their food is like!Wheelchair accessibility: This bar is wheelchair accessible, and very open so that any person with a wheelchair can dine and enjoy live music!“

“Excellent! Food was the best and there was so much. Waiter was super pleasant. This is one of our favorite places for Mexican food now and will go back next time we visit. I ordered the asada fries which was delicious and since I make asada at home, I know what’s good. Can’t wait to go back.“

“We had a party of 8 (one came late). We had a nice big table out of the way. Our server was delightful and she kept us comfortable (she checked on us often). My husband usually gets a Wedgie. He talked half of our party into getting them too. Everyone loved them (whoever came up with those, kudos!) We also talked a couple of our friends into the roasted red pepper and gouda soup and everyone who got it loved it.(a trip to the Hotel Bar without roasted red pepper and gouda soup isnt an actual trip, is it?) We also ordered a taco salad to go and they took care to package it carefully (made sure the taco shell bowl didn't get soggy by packaging everything separately). We had a good time and plan to come back another time when we can try the dinner entrees (dinner is served on a Sunday after 5pm)“

“A friend of mine found this cool place, lunch time you don't need a membership and we saw all the good dinner specials they have and differnt things member's get you, so we ended up getting a membership. The food is good, I haven't had anything bad yet.“

“We went there on Taco night and were not disappointed.This is a nice neighborhood bar/restaurant on the upper Eastside of Erie. The bartender was friendly and accommodating. We ordered the food and drinks and waited about 8 minutes for the food. The salad was cold, and there were not any wilted leaves in the bowl. The taco was very good, and the soft shells were not old or dried out.We have gone here on numerous occasions and have not had any issues with the food or staff.If you enjoy going to a nice neighborhood bar with good food, this should be one of your destination favorites.“

“I did the work on this bar when it changed hands to the new owners. The new owners are all about making it a great place to hangout and enjoy food,music and friends. The food is great,they have a special almost daily and it will get out of the kitchen fast. It has pa skill games to play, pool table, darts and more. The bathrooms are super clean as the whole bar is . And you will never have to worry about cops driving around the bar. Quite neighborhood. “JR's, Sloppy Duck, is in the marina. Great view of the bay and the boats. The food was good, and the service was fast. The home made chips with old bay were great with drinks. The hamburgers are good and huge. This is the off season so the outdoor bar was closed but they did have outdoor seating on the bay side of the building.“

“Good people, good food, and sometimes people have the audacity to think they can do karaoke, which makes watching people sing 10X more entertaining. Bot smokey inside at all with great ventilation. To make up for no more smoking in the building, they built a porch for smokers to smoke it to make up for it.“

We were seated easily and after ordering got our drinks first, then the meals, and the server was friendly and the order came quickly. “Kitchen hit it out of the park tonight for curbside pickup dinner. Caprice salad was just what the Chef ordered! Thick sliced fresh mozzarella cheese, tomatoes and roasted red pepperers with an to die for balsamic glaze. It was so good, it gave me hope for summer being right around the corner! Sloppy joe was on a huge seeded bun and tasted just like mom's and more than I could eat at one sitting. Here's the naughty part, onion rings on the side! They were golden an crispy on the outside and a real onion slice on the inside, not minced onion. Chef Scott is personable and takes pride in his service. You don't have to be a member to call in an order. Who wants to cook after a week of work? Not me!! I highly recommend.“

“Traveling through in my old custom van in May. Cold rain tired hungry thirsty. Then I found this place. The warmest small bar I stopped at on my 4,500 mile journey. “I've been a member of The Erie Club since 2014, and I have never had anything less than excellence at my table! The first time I was there - as a guest - I had the Angus Burger with Cheddar and Fries, and it was the best damn burger I ever had. Just yesterday, I had the same meal in the pub and it was just as good as that first burger was back then! Even in the relaxed atmosphere of the pub, every bit of service and food and drink - was top ring. I like a Tito's & Tonic with a pinch of salt, and believe it or not, this order causes problems for some folks, but not here. I had four drinks and every one of them was just as good - and perfectly mixed - as the one before it! Couple all of this with being able to have a cigar during my lunch, and I'm in MY world! Once again, a truly stellar experience!“

“If you know Sam then you already know how educated he is on his beers. I'm a bartender in Erie and I feel like a lot of us are drawn to his business because he genuinely takes the time to make sure you're happy and you found exactly what you're looking for. This is my go to spot for any beer I might have trouble finding elsewhere. If he doesn't have it, nobody will. The bartenders are so friendly and also very knowledgeable. I've never left this place unhappy and I always suggest him to my own customers at my bar, for whatever they need. Support local. This place is everything.“
