“Amazing traditional Vietnamese food at a good price and Huge portions! I have tried many Viet and Asian restaurants around the Lawrenceville and strip district area which are more show than good food. This place is all about the food, nothing fancy, just great food.“

“I really want to gatekeep this one, but it is too good! Truly authentic Vietnamese food with quality ingredients. Pho is outstanding. Buns are amazing! Summer rolls are pricey but a must try. Family and group friendly. Plenty of street parking but be mindful of the parking fees (you must enter your plate and pay at the kiosk or your app). Only downside is when someone smokes outside, sometimes the smell comes in. The owner does make a conscious effort to keep it closed and even politlely asks people to move away from the main door entrance. This place us an absolute must try if you are visiting and a place to bookmark if you are local!

I walked in 10 minutes before closing on a Monday after traveling all day. They took pity on me and let me sit and eat like a civilized person while they started closing up. They served up a Pho Supreme in no time, and it was delicious.

Was it as good as the pho I’ve had in Hanoi and HCMC? No.

But was it as good as the pho I usually get in Elmherst, Queens, NYC? Also no.

But it was still properly spiced, clear with a touch of fat, and loaded with meat and garnish. It was the perfect meal after a long day.“

“I was craving Ten Lac Vien, but they were closed so I decided to try this place.

The fresh rolls with tofu were amazing. I may order 2 orders of them next time(2 rolls per order so 4 total) yes they are that good.

I also did the “build your own meal” with rice noodles, tofu, and 4 veggie toppings. I love the bun chay at TLV so I was hoping this would be similar. It was not as substantial. No seitan(which was fine) and no spring roll(I probably could have ordered one). But it was good for what it was.

The service was super fast. They’re open til 9pm which is nice. Will go back again to try some more toppings with the vermicelli bowl and order more fresh rolls.

“I got the black tea lemonade and tofu banh mi, while my spouse opted for the drunken beef and the classy chick banh mi (he says he forgot to take one out of the cart, but I don't buy it). We used to eat here years ago, and after moving back to the area, we were thrilled to see it still going strong. Even more thrilling was discovering that the food is still absolutely delicious! I adore this place—the staff is always friendly, and my pick-up orders are always ready when I arrive. If you haven’t tried it yet, you’re missing out on a local gem!

“Pho Minh - the best tasting Pho in Pittsburgh! This is a small unassuming restaurant on Penn Ave that is huge in flavor and value. The beef pho (#14) broth is amazing with complex flavors and just the right amount of acidity. We added the entire plate of toppings. The grilled pork with spring roll over rice noodles (#43) was also tasty. A colorful, satisfying, inexpensive and delicious meal. The menu has many options and it is vegan friendly.“

“Tom was immediately friendly to us when we entered. We chatted with him for a bit after he took our order and we had a good time. Then he brought the food out and it completely blew my already high expectations out of the water. There is definitely a reason why he was in business for so long. Just be advised that he only accepts cash.“

“Food and service here is really good! A nice atmosphere and very kind staff add to the delicious choices. I’ve had lots of Vietnamese and the menu had everything I was interested in. Fresh coconut juice topped it off. Good value for the price, it hits a sweet spot for a casual dinner.“

“I love the uniqueness of Ca Phê. Not only can I get my typical caffeine fix (coffee, tea, espresso, the usual), I can also crush my sweet tooth with yummy bubble tea and satisfy my appetite with tasty Vietnamese food. Get there early to grab a seat. Lunch time has always been a very busy time for them in my experience. I imagine this is a wonderful place for a takeout order.“

“I tried the spicy fried rice and it was certainly spicy lol. It was also super incredibly delicious. I need to come here more often. There are just a few seats to eat there. I will have to report back when I try the pad Thai. Obviously the banh mi is excellent.“
