Regarding your concern: we do not accept gift cards that are not valid. If a gift card is fake or does not have our authorized signature on the back, we cannot process it.

It is also not possible for us to “pocket” any money. Every gift card transaction is recorded with a duplicate copy, and we do not have any record of the card in question. Additionally, the gift card you presented was issued by a different business that we do not own or operate.

You are welcome to return so we can properly review a valid gift card, or you may provide a photo of the card you attempted to use for further clarification.

Just stopped in here to get some pastries and I had a gift certificate for $50. Apparently, the children of the owner Massimo have now taken over and they would not accept this gift certificate. Basically they pocketed the $50. I would recommend not to shop here because their priorities and customer service are not in line with businesses I would deal with. I would never treat anyone this way in my business. I really liked Massimo and things were good when he was there. That's all changed now and I would not recommend shopping here. The best alternative at this point is probably the Pennsylvania Bakery in Lemoyne.

Good old school Italian bakery. Cannoli are great. Not the easiest location to get to, but worthwhile.

I went in one day looking for a cannoli. The owner said they didn't have any because he was waiting for the Ricotta to get in from Sicily, which is the best possible answer. I bought other pastries, and they were all delicious. I cannot recommend this place enough for all your sweet tooth cravings!

I waited outside for over an hour after the place was scheduled open. The owners pulled up, didn't say anything or apologize and unlocked the door. I didn't get anything, my friends did. Apparently they had the same experience the next day and just left.

Drove over an hour to try them out says they’re open but door is locked and no one is there at 1:09 on Thursday. Too bad would have liked to try it.

Absolutely amazing experience at Massimo Italian Bakery. The food was incredible — fresh, authentic, and so flavorful. What really made the visit special was the owner taking the time to help us review ingredients and make sure everything was safe for an obscure food sensitivity in our family. That level of care is rare and so appreciated.

We had an amazing experience at Massimo’s Italian Bakery! The food was absolutely incredible — fresh, authentic, and full of flavor — but what truly stood out was the owner’s kindness and knowledge. We have an obscure food sensitivity in our family, and the owner personally took the time to go over ingredients with us and help verify what was safe to eat. That level of care and attention is so rare and deeply appreciated. It made the experience completely stress-free, and we were able to fully enjoy some of the best Italian food we’ve had. We’ll definitely be back and highly recommend this bakery!

The owner is SO NICE and took the time to chat with everyone who came in like they were visiting family. He clearly loves what he does and it comes through in the food he offers. I can't wait to come back!

I’ve placed two online orders for Cartocci in the last week. I was supposed to get a refund today for the first one so I thought hey I can get them if I order it today they’re supposed to be open. No they aren’t, I waited for 30 minutes and they still weren’t open. They’re amazing pastries but I can’t trust that they’re open.

Massimo's bakery was amazing. From the time I entered the door, to checkout, everyone was so nice. I got to taste a couple of treats which were incredible. Everything was freshly made and the price was great. I will be going back over and over again.
