“My husband and I used Upohar for our wedding. The food was sooooo good and we still have guests talking about some of the dishes! We had a combination of Peruvian, West African and Lao dishes. We recommend Upohar to anybody wanting delicious food at their wedding. The service and care they put into our whole experience was wonderful as well!“

“We had one of the most wonderful dining experience at Vecu restaurant ( used to be known as Bistro Barbaret). Chef Kevin is a young, promising chef with a great potential!! The service was superb!! Meridith, the maître de is absolutely the best show in town!!! Very knowledgeable, experienced and personal. This place will not be the same without him!! Can’t wait to be back there for another delightful dining experience. On the way out we couldn’t avoid the little European pastry shop. We are very well traveled European couple and we must say, these are by far one of the best pastries in the US, if not the top!!! “This place is hands down one of the top restaurants in Pennsylvania, maybe even the United States. Places can definitely benefit from taking lessons how they prepare food here at John J Jeffries. My wife and I were taking back by how delicious everything was prepared and tasted. Down to the scrumptious dessert.
We discovered this place while while visiting Lancaster one weekend, there is a great app the I highly recommend call Seed Oil Scout, it's less than $10 for a whole year and it lets you know what restaurants cook with healthy methods. Extra Virgin Olive 🫒 Oil, instead of the poisonous seed oil which are slowly killing our society. This place is the best, farm to table. I've eaten at some of the nicest restaurants in the Philadelphia area and nothing comes close.
I was very taken back by some of the one star ⭐ reviews, I recommend that everyone due their due diligence and check the one star reviews first it gives you a good idea of what the place is going to be like, unfortunately you have to wade through a bunch of spoiled brats that just like to complain, one person goes on about their bratty loud kid and how they were racially profiled, really. Some people just think their kids can do no wrong. I have 14 and believe me, sometimes they are loud and need to go to the bathroom for a spanking. If you do read the 1 star reviews you will unfortunately see a trend, it's not the food. Staffing issues comes up over and over, it's very difficult in this day and age to find good help and as you can see they can encourage people to leave undeserved one⭐ Also it's interesting to mention that when you look at Newest reviews there is a one ⭐ and 2 ⭐⭐ ⭐'s reviews but they were nearly 6 months ago so hopefully the issues have been addressed. I wish John J Jeffries all the luck. I can't wait to eat their again. I have shared our experience with countless friends. Plus our server was extraordinary! Thank you.“

“A couple weeks ago I went into River Sweet Treats for the very first time. I visited the Lancaster, Pennsylvania location. I was looking for a valentines gift for somebody special. They didn’t yet have their valentine displays available, but that did not stop them. Nicole was absolutely amazing as she used her creativity to make me a gift basket for my loved one. It was so impressive. She was so beyond kind, as was everyone in the store. It made the entire experience an extra sweet treat not only for me, but my loved one. I highly recommend a visit to their stores, especially the Lancaster location.“

“We just celebrated our 57th anniversary at Ciro’s. We knew we would get delicious food and excellent service. And we did! Plus, our favorite gelato, Mama Mia.“

“We had a great experience and the food was good! They have great variety and everyone could find something that they liked, and desserts were great as well. The only reason it wasn't 5 starts is that I would rather the food be served all at once rather than in shifts so everyone finished eating at different times and made entertaining kids a bit more difficult.
(Also they are not as easy to eat gluten free as they were in the past)“

“A favorite coffee shop of mine. I tend to always get the same things on the menu because of how good they are. The BEST cold brew, the best lattes (by the way, their syrups are HOMEMADE!!), and I absolutely love their rice bowl. It’s pure comfort. Beautiful inside and fun to sit on the high tops while looking out the window of Lancaster’s theater and arts district.
Employees, baristas, everyone is a gem! They serve me so well and call me by name which always makes me feel so special. I adore them!
Check them out but be sure to get there early before the crowds.
On street parking that you can pay for or a lot nearby. Grab breakfast, then go to Central Market after 😍“
