“We had a bridal shower here recently and it couldn’t have gone better! First of all, the restaurant was GORGEOUS - beautiful wooden interiors and classy decorations. The service was also fantastic, with everything ready for us as soon as we arrived and excellent service throughout the afternoon.

Finally, the food and drink - WOW! The cocktails were incomparable - so creative and delicious. I would’ve had one of everything! We had a buffet for lunch with many protein options and delicious veggies. Every dish was flavorful and filling.

“Let me say it’s a beautiful restaurant. It has a nice grand feel. Service was very good. Food was ok. Duck was very good but it could have been half of it and cheaper. Potato wedges kind of boring. Pork tenderloin was overcooked. Demi was very good. Mushroom soup was excellent through I believe people really only like cream of mushroom so putting a few pieces in the bottom I did not like. The rolls to start the meal are boring. It needs something more exciting and maybe a flavored butter would be great. We will be back though.“

The food was all homemade and you could taste the difference. The staff was very friendly. Highly recommend for anyone who is out this way and looking for good homemade cooking.“

“We have been going to the West Reading Tavern (WRT) since they opened in the 1970s. We have never been disappointed. Great drinks, good beer selection, consistently excellent food. Our favorites are the salmon BLT, the burgers and the Reuben. We highly recommend a trip to the WRT!“

She was very patient with us as we took our merry old time to order because we were too busy chatting to read our menus so we could let the poor woman do her job. She was so sweet and accommodating checking every so often to see if we had "decided yet." We sat for quite a long time without being bothered by staff or other patrons.
