The rolls were amazing! Got two special rolls the sweetheart and fireball. Both were delicious! The flavor and texture were amazing, they were also generously filled.I admit, I'm not one to order rolls or sashimi that have slices of raw fish, as I tend to have a hard time with the texture and taste. The first time I was introduced to sashimi it was a thick slice of chewy fish that was not pleasant to my palate. However, Sumo Sushi may have turned this around. Friendly and attentive service. Excellent food portions. Great choice for Japanese food especially in an area where Asian restaurants are scarce. Restaurant is quiet and kept clean.
On our second trip, the simple yellowtail roll was actually the winner! Fresh fish, well-seasoned sushi rice, good-quality seaweed.... Of all eight rolls we've had so far, it's the one I'd consider ordering again even before we've made our way through the rest of the menu. The Sumo Roll had sounded so promising, but the mango was tasteless and pale. If a riper mango had been used, it would have been a much more flavorful (if messier) roll.
