“I used Chef's catering for my wedding this past Sunday, May 4th 2025. My husband, guests and myself, were blown away with the quality of the food and the service we received. I had guests with severe allergy restrictions, I had vegetarians and celiac disease guests. They prepared meals separately and took every precaution that allergies were a top concern without sacrificing any quality to the food served for everyone. They provided multiple options to accommodate my guests. They catered offsite at our venue - Orchard View Lavender Farms (see my review there as well). Firstly, I want to say that working with Nancy to plan my wedding was a pleasant experience. We started discussing planning before the holidays, and to be honest, with everything going on it fell to the way side for a bit. Nancy followed up to check in but never, not once, made me feel pressured for a choice, decision or answer. She also made suggestions, and gave her honest opinion on food choices. She was quick to reply on emails, calls and texts, if she didn't have an answer she gave me an ETA on when I would hear back. Lisa, the owner, is amazing. She was in attendance during our tasting, and even offered other popular dishes that we also immediately added to our offerings. The pricing is more than reasonable, and as a bride on budget in 2025 this truly caused concerns for me, but those feelings were immediate extinguished with Chef's extensive offerings. Everything was customizable, we were able to do more of one dish and less of another. There was no minimum and no maximum required. I never felt pressured to add more or was told "no". They even offered a bar package that was customizable and fit for me needs, with adding on a signature drink as well. I could not be happier with the services and care these ladies provided, as well as the rest of the staff there. Everyone was so kind, caring, and sweet. The staff at the venue were kind to guests, we always had a drink in hand as well. I would give Chef's 10 stars if I could, and I will keep them in mind any time I need a platter or plate of anything for hosting. My husband and I will also be sure to visit their restaurant to sample the rest of their extensive menu.“
“So, in between blessings, today, I asked The Reverend Iif we could pick up lunch to have a quiet respite at home in between two weeks chock full of classes, remediations and resolutions, service and private appointments. As J.DeFranco and Daughters Catering had posted pictures of their Pizza Cigalo bread I was intrigued. We settled on a Chicken Parm on semolina for her, sans sauce as she’s taking a break from tomato. I went with their President’s Week special; The Taft, also on semolina, as I had never heard of a sandwich like it before and I often need a catalyst to move me out of my ordering habit of, mostly, known favorites. I also asked for pesto on the side as I had never tried theirs and I thought it would make a good option for The Reverend’s chicken and/or the Pizza Cigola bread. The bread tasted straight outta da Bronx That pesto was so fresh and far and away the best I ever tasted. I am so grateful I overruled my feelings re: Taft/Hartley. The apples and dijon took it to another level!“
