“I had no idea this place was here. A friend recommended it while we were in the area as a lunch spot. It was still Fall and the weather was amazing so we were seated at a table in their amazing ourdoor space. It's so prettty; I felt like I was on vacation. The menu had a lot of really good looking options and we struggled to choose. We started with some wings. They were exceptional--- crunchy, juicy and well sauced. Our friend ended up with a spicy chicken sandwich. I had an open face beef sandwich with gravy and french fries. My husband had a chicken Caesar wrap. Everything was beautiful to look at and delicious. Service was a little slow, but reasonable. The atmosphere made it alright. I hope to get back there soon.“

“Had an amazing few days enjoying the Rising Sun. I was in town visiting family and had the pleasure of enjoying breakfast service, dinner, and late night drinks all on separate occasions over the course of a few days. The food was phenomenal and would hold its own to any Philadelphia eatery. Even better was the quality of service. From hosts to wait staff we never felt neglected. The manager, Alex, also checked in on numerous occasions to make sure things were up to par. A+ from start to finish and looking forward to our return.“

“What a really, really nice place!! We were at the Gem show at the Lebanon Expo Center, and googled places to eat - Lebanon Gin Mill popped up. Looked great and boy was it! We were greeted by a couple local guys who let us know you could walk any direction around the very large bar. There's definitely a comfortable, at-home vibe here, no matter where you're from. All the menu options are very well priced for what you get. The cocktails are delicious and also reasonably priced - great value for your dollar here. We sat at the bar close to the "stage" which is in the corner of the bar area. They have live music and Sundays are "Sunday Jams" from 2-5pm. Jessica Batz was the singer and she was great - lots of classic rock/folk songs. Jill was the bartender and she took expert care of us. She was very busy slinging drinks but still would stop by and talk with us and make us feel welcome. She was very proud of her tenure at the restaurant, and enjoyed her job. Her kindness to two strangers was refreshing. They have an awesome beer selection with some stuff you're not going to find just anywhere. I had an apricot sour that was delicious. We ordered the following food: 6 old bay wings, 6 "sweet fire" wings (their signature sauce), Burnt Ends (on top of a bed of blue-cheese coleslaw, just a hint), and the salmon platter - blackened on top of bacon and brussels sprouts with a honey-dijon sauce on the side. The wings and burnt ends were so good we forgot to take pictures; just of the salmon platter. Jill's cocktails were excellent - her lavender collins is so yummy. Also don't miss the smoked peach old-fashioned. All in all, we had an amazing time. This place flies under the radar, but shouldn't. It should be shouted from the rooftops.Parking: A bunch of spots, all along the main street“

“We moved into the area about 2 years ago and originally even when we were scouting the area to move, we stopped here often and quickly realized that this place is definitively a local gem and an amazing establishment….for how many times we have been here, I can’t believe this is our first time writing a review. All of the food is great and we have tried a bunch of it from lunch to dinner, the weekend specials always add some variability to the menu and the taps are always changing. We have two small children and everyone that has ever served us has always been so great and patient with them…and perhaps the best part is that it’s locally owned and operated….we will continue to support this organization and the people that make it what it is indefinitely. This is the almond dusted salmon which was the weekend special which didn’t stand a chance once I got into it.“

“MJ is the best, we just moved to Lebanon and we have been checking out local bars and this was the best one. For a corner bar, it was super nice on the inside. They had darts, a jukebox and (good) pool table. The drinks were super affordable, the bartender/owner (MJ) had awesome control over the place, a great atmosphere. AND SHE COVERED OUR FIRST ROUND OF SHOTS. Much love, i will be back“

“First time trying the place. The menu was solid my fiancee and I got a smattering of various delicious food. I loved the quesadilla we wanted to try their signature wings but they were out. The Korean sauce was still excellent. We had a few excellent drinks as well. They were a bit short staffed for the number of people there had to remind the server a few times of drinks orders and they were out of some beers they had listed but hey those are the times we live in. The staff did a great job even though they were a bit busy. I'm pumped to go back and hopefully get those signatures wings.“

“I felt the need to review the Sinkhole in reference to an incident that occurred on 3/1/24. Food, drinks were good and servers were all friendly. Other patrons, not so much. While enjoying ourselves another customer came up to my husband, who is African American (I am white), telling him that he would be afraid of him in the parking lot, so since he doesn’t want to get mugged, proceeded to hand my husband his wallet and before walking away rubbed his hair. Yes, you read that correctly! First thought, who is this guy and does my husband know him? Second thought are you freaking kidding me?! Time went by and my husband had a chat with this person & recommended he apologize to me, as I was upset. That should have been the end of it.Later a few others joined us and we were chatting about how 28+ years ago my husband tried to set me up with a friend. We were having a good laugh about it, when the wife of the guy who touched my husband, interjected about how we can talk about that, but her husband gets talked to about what he did. Quite some time had passed. Was I still upset about the racist, inappropriate incident, you bet your butt. Did I yell at her? Yes! Was I loud while explaining what her husband did? Yes. If she didn’t know what this was about why did she say anything. There are things that you don’t say, especially to people you don’t know. And you DO NOT TOUCH OTHER PEOPLE. Especially a Black person’s hair. There is no room for that ignorance. The bartenders and servers at the Sinkhole were amazing, understanding and acted just how I hoped they would. Thank you to the staff for their quick response.“
