“This restaurant is an area landmark for a unique sweet pizza. It has been in Hanover Section of Nanticoke for decades and is still very popular. The pizza pies are smaller than other places, but they've always been that size. The prices are reasonable compared to other places, and the pizza has its own taste. It is always served hot and quick. The inside has a bar in addition to a dining area. You can also order for take out. It is worth trying if you've never had it to see if you like the unique pizza style served at Ruby's. There is plenty of parking and they DON'T deliver.“

“Had our daughters Sweet 16 party here with about 70 people, a DJ and lots of younger kids. This place is the PERFECT place to host any party! We were all impressed with this venue. There is enough space to dance and have a DJ but a place on the other side to relax play pool/fooseball and just hang out if the music is too much for guests. The staff there helped carry things in and had the whole place set up ready to be decorated! Also, everyone knows the worst part of any event is the clean up. Well, Broadway Tavern told us to take what we wanted and leave the rest up to them!!!!! I will definitely be using this place in the future!! HIGHLY recommend!!!“

“As a newbie to the area this place was very welcoming and friendly the atmosphere just made you feel like home. Jordan was very attentive and friendly. And the price of drinks is absolutely unbeatable and they don’t skimp on them either. Will definitely be my new Saturday night go to. A big plus for me personally is they also allowing smoking. My old area stopped that years before I could even go into a bar however I was never a big bar fan anyway but this place is just different (in a good way).also looking forward to attending dirty bingo June 6.“

“Was here the other year with my girlfriend on a random road trip. We did some bar hopping and came here on our travels. Cool little spot, the bartender was very nice and the bar patrons were hilarious. “Alberdeen Inn is EXCELLENT if you're looking for a great meal in a quiet, romantic atmosphere. The service was perfect. The food was A+. They do NOT serve "fast" food, they serve outstanding food and if you order steak as I did it is more than worth the wait to receive an excellent steak prepared exactly as you asked for. “It has a dive bar vibe with a huge bar area surrounded by some tables. It gets pretty busy at night. We didn't eat, but the pizza and wings looked good.

It seems like a great spot for drinks with friends or if you enjoy pulling up a few seats at the bar and people-watching.“

“We booked the Grove at the Checkerboard for our wedding, and everything was PERFECT!
The whole planning process was painless, they responded quickly to all of my questions in the months leading up to the event, and went through every detail with us to ensure the night went smoothly.

The morning of, we arrived to decorate, and the tables & chairs already in position exactly how we discussed, and Mark was putting tablecloths out. He checked and rechecked throughout the day to make sure everything was spotless and that no critters or bugs came to join the party, and that the wind didn't interfere with any decorations.
The Grove is a beautiful space! It was perfect for our crowd of family & friends. We had over 100 guests and there wouldve been room for many more tables if needed. Theres also seperate bathrooms at the grove, and a large game room that was the perfect space to get ready, and to freshen up throughout the night, and it was the perfect space for the kids/teens to play and keep themselves entertained.
The trees and grass were beautiful in all the pictures, and our guests enjoyed exploring the area & playing horseshoes! We were fortunate enough to have perfect weather, but the pavilion does have walls that can be pulled closed if it rains.
Theres a massive menu to choose from. We chose to do 2 entrees buffet style, but table service is also an option- and the food was phenomenal!
They also offer different choices for drinks- fountain drinks/coffee was included, and theres options to pay by the keg/bottle, or unlimited drinks, we chose to include beer & wine (2 beer options, 3 wine) and did cash bar for liquor, & no one minded walking across the lawn for an extra drink!
Mark was on the ball- from setting up, to serving food, clearing tables, and making sure the drink table stayed full, there was not a single hiccup the whole night
Overall, they were fantastic to deal with. We spent a fraction of what we originally anticipated, and everything was perfect. Our guests had an awesome time, and I would 10000% recommend the Grove/The Checkerboard to anyone looking to throw a great party with great food!“

“Small bar and restaurant with a pool table. We ordered fresh cut fries with cheese and bacon (real bacon, not real cheese) and wings. I ordered the house special sauce, a mix of wing sauce, bbq and parm cheese. It was not the best. The bites were good otherwise. Not too bad price-wise.“

“It's not the Nicest Place, but its never overcrowded & the prices are not that bad if you know how to find it in the BoonDocks! I'd recommend hanging out there. There is plenty of off street parking across the street. (Thats the one complaint, the owner is obsessed with having people towed from "his parking lot" god forbid should you not want to drive drunk. Or should a neighbor park there for a little bit, when a bar with happy neighbors means having a good eye kept on place for breakins in the bar and customers cars instead of pissing off neighbors who may say oh well not my problem!)“

“We celebrated a surprise Birthday here and the trays of wings I ordered were piping hot and delicious!!! The service and gratitude from the Bar owner and staff made us feel very welcome. This bar got a bad rap for awhile when they were leasing it out, but their has been a big change in things there. This was my 3rd time here for a party and every time we had a very nice time. Their patrons, bartenders, and staff are very friendly, and inviting. Its good to see that some of these past bars are making a great come back! They sell food if your hungry, and there is plenty of parking in the parking lot just outside.“

“easily my FAVORITE place for dinner and drinks in NEPA. their location is easily accessible and atmosphere is chill, not too overwhelming. i’m vegetarian and it’s hard for me to find good places to eat… but HOPS is very accommodating! great selection of flatbreads and salads. i have dreams about their veggie burger, seriously delicious! their prices and portions are outstanding. lastly, the staff here is so friendly, chill, and they make you feel welcomed! if there’s a mistake on your order, or if you have any questions about the menu, they are knowledgeable and more than happy to help. i would rate 100 stars if i could. love ya HOPS!“

“Found this place a few months back when my daughter had a softball game up that way, and I was looking for a place to watch the Eagles on Sunday. This place did not disappoint for watching any Eagles game. It’s truly like a full eagle bar with the atmosphere of all the fans. Love the place went back a second time a week ago.“
