“Great to walk in this Saturday in November to meet Kathy and John and chat about their TOMATO 🍅 PIE @ $1.75 square. The two young men behind the counter were smart and helpful with picking and packing of the bakery items. After learning about the GRASSLAND BUTTER used in baking, plus more additional details, I purchased 1 square of tomato pie ($1.75), 2 cheese/fruit danish ($4.75 each), a 6 pack of ciabatta rolls ($3.00), a long loaf of cracked black pepper and Asiago bread ($7.75), an iced cinnamon roll ($3.75) and a 3 pack of these Scottish Tiffan ($3.60, refer to FB post) ALL $30. Now home, I perked a pot of coffee and sat down to enjoy the danish which imparts a delicious buttery dough, nice, generous middle of fruit filling with an underlay of cream cheese mixture spread. Oh, yum. 😋“

“I was sent 4 different flavors of kiffles for Christmas, I never had any from here before, it was a big surprise! All the flavors were awesome! Perfectly baked and extremely fresh. Flakey, buttery crust and nice ratio of filling to crust, and dusted with the right amount of powdered sugar. I'll definitely be ordering more kiffles from here.“

“What a treasure! In Pburg, but worth the trip, right across the "Free Bridge". The bagels are legit, we will try the "Bloomin' Bagel" next time, Pecan Sticky Bun, Chic Chip Cookie and the unique and very yummy Shortbread with Banana Icing are ALL Great! Oh, and the Tomato Pie was one of the best I've ever had.

Hands down the best croissants you’ll find on this side of the Atlantic Ocean! The staff is knowledgeable and friendly. I had a hard time choosing the flavor because they all sounded so delicious but I chose the Vanilla Cake with Italian Meringue Icing and Raspberry Filling. When I say it was the best cake I've ever had I mean it. Many others said the same thing. It was so flavorful, moist and beautifully decorated. Definitely my go to bakery for fresh, unique and delicious cakes.“

“I'm a first timer. I took home a frozen Traditional Beef and a Traditional Chicken, plus two Blueberry Fruit Pasties for dessert.The cooking directions were accurate. Both meat pasties came out of the oven well baked. Both of the meat pasties were on the dry side and could use some seasoning. I think a little gravy would solve both issues.The fruit pasties were delicious!I'll be back to try more.“

This review is for a special order that was done at Kumi's Cakes and Pastries for our baby's birthday. We are ever so grateful to her for accepting our order amidst her very hectic schedule. We provided her with the list of items and she helped us choose the "perfect" filling for each pastry. We could not have been more pleased with the result. All pastries/snacks were a hit at the party. She makes everything from scratch and her Sri Lankan eclairs (chocolate chocolate eclairs) are the best. I don't think we can find anything closer to that even in Sri Lanka. She's a "PRO" in pastries and cakes and the best we've met so far. She is very detail oriented and puts her heart and soul into her work. I'll be purchasing all our special occasion baked goods from her. “Another great thing about Monocacy Coffee. Its the best resurrection coffee around. I am not one to dispose of my old coffee. I soon dispose of old sour whiskey, and that is stating alot. Anyway, day, two day old coffee ? Don't want to suffer the burnt re-cook of the stove, or the radiated foaming microwave ? Crack out the old perc from the camping supplies. Do not use the guts, just simply add a few, literally less than my son's handfull, Monocacy Coffee whole beans into the aged coffee, bring to quick boil and viola ! “Came here Sunday (12/1) with my boyfriend before heading back to California to have our last breakfast together for my trip (and celebrate our birthdays early). My boyfriend ordered his usual stack of pancakes and a side of bacon and I got the blueberry pancake plate. The food was very good and it was a great last meal for the long plane ride ahead. I forgot our servers name but she was a sweetheart and so attentive. Whenever I come back we will definitely stop by again (and I will get some of the desserts they have for sale!)
