This was our first time here, meeting friends as a half way point. We all had burgers and they were excellent. The girls had chocolate martinis for dessert & they were excellent. Ambiance was really nice, though the dining room was quite chilly. Service was slow, but we weren't in a hurry, other than we would have liked to have been offered our drinks sooner. Great little spot & I will look forward to returning & trying more on the menu.

It wasn't what I expected. It's always crowded outside so I decided to book dinner. I really thought it was going to be an upscale tavern for dining - it was not with a typical bar food menu. Mixed crowd from children to seniors. It was pretty loud in addition to live music. Free self parking to the left and free valet on the right. Hostess did not seem to enjoy her position.

Very enjoyable meal. Entrees,: duck breast with risotto in a delicious sauce, branzino, salmon all excellent. Service was pleasant and friendly but we waited quite a while for a cheese plate and bread. And I do resent a charge for a basic bread basket, it's just an upcharge. Otherwise, all good, would return, the food was great in a nice but noisy, atmosphere.

We love Bowman's Tavern. We don't go out as often as we used to, and service is such an important part of the dining experience that we tend to follow the wait staff that we grow to love from place to place. This time, however, we missed Bowman's Tavern. It was great to be back there. We were not disappointed. We should visit more often.

The drinks were excellent, and the live piano music added such a fun touch. With a lively bar scene and genuinely friendly staff, it's the kind of place I'd go back to in a heartbeat.

The appetizers, main courses and my alcoholic beverage were all good. We had a party of 6 and we were able to be seated earlier before our reservation. Our waitress was very well spoken, funny, attractive and had a great personality. The lighting was a little bit dark, although I do prefer dimmer light to being overly bright. The table we were seated at was awkward to sit at due to the table behind us, which a lady continued to push her chair into the back of my husband's chair. Not necessarily the restaurant's fault as she probably could have sat up and not stick her behind out but it was annoying him during the course of us dining there.

Very nice restaurant. Was very happy with the food and waitress was very good answering questions about my daughter's food allergies. We only stayed to eat but seemed like a place where it would be fun to hang out. They had a nice bar and music at night. Will visit again when we are back in the area.
We loved our meal at Bowman's. The whipped ricotta appetizer was delicious. The corned beef brisket Reuben was fabulous, the wings were solid, and the papardelle with mushrooms was rich and earthy and comfort in a bowl! We were next to a table of about 8 women who were having a reunion of some sort, it seemed, and they were VERY loud, which was kind of a bummer, but every time someone from our party went to the restroom, we got to hear the live piano and singers, which was lovely. Would absolutely dine here again.

Our late lunch/early dinner at Bowman's Tavern was great! Most of the customers were in the bar area, so the dining spaces were very quiet. No music while we were there, which was a big plus for us. The wait staff was very pleasant and helpful. Several came to assist after someone (me!) knocked their drink over. They were very patient with us, as we are very slow to order because we're always busy chatting. The drinks were very good and exactly as ordered. Food was deicious, from the watermelon gazpacho to the chicken 'steak' sandwich and huge hamburger. It's a bit of distance from where we all live, but will definitely visit there again. Soon, I hope!
