Francisco's on the River offers excellent food and service in a lovely setting with river views. The atmosphere is relaxing and cozy, with a comfortable ambiance. The wait staff is friendly, welcoming, and professional. This BYOB restaurant is a great choice for a date night or regular spot, with ample parking. Dishes loved include the beet and goat cheese salad, eggplant parmesan in a light tomato sauce, and corvina. The flourless chocolate tart is decadent. Francisco's is located across the street from the Delaware River in a peaceful spot, away from fast-paced hubs.
The menu has delicious, simple as well as sophisticated options, with a great choice of favorite items to select from, including fish dishes, pastas, seafood, poultry and beef. There are also chef's specials, seasonal and special catch options for appetizers and entrees. Recent customers have enjoyed the steak and linguine Alfredo, lasagna, and a Sushi-grade grilled tuna with steamed Bok Choi in a hoisin-type sauce, as well as a Scallops fettuccini in a cream brandy sauce. The lemon Nonna dessert is also a hit.
Reservations are suggested for weekends to avoid crowds. Customers praise the excellent food, staff, and ambiance, considering it a terrific value.
