Ota-Ya is hands down the best sushi restaurant in Newtown! The sushi is absolutely delicious — fresh, flavorful, and beautifully prepared. Tried all the sushi restaurants in the area and this is the best! Family atmosphere, they get to know you by name and welcome you each time. Love the variety of sushi, they will customize as you like and it's BYO, which I love. Only improvement would be to renovate to make it look a little nicer, but not if the prices will increase:) I am hesitant to recommend it more, for fear that it will become too crowded. LOVE THIS PLACE!
Been coming here for years and it has always been amazing. When the owner Marina knows you by first name when you walk in l, that says something. Can’t go wrong with anything you get here.You HAVE TO get basil sandwich either tuna or salmon.
