I ordered the tempeh tacos, and firstly it took a very long time to come out. That I understood because of it being a particularly busy day, as Philly AIDS Thrift across the street was having an event. But the tacos were not worth the wait. The apple curtido was so cold that it made the tempeh lose its heat almost immediately. So even though the tacos were freshly grilled, it felt as if they had just come out of the fridge. I was very disappointed because I had seen their food truck and heard very good things, so I was excited to eat at Algorithm's brick and mortar location. But unfortunately, my experience just wasn't worth it

Wow! Run don't walk to get this amazing vegan hidden gem of a restaurant. On Sunday I had the vegan eggnog milkshake with pomegranate and pineapple - knocked it out of the park. They told me they use Breyer's oatmilk and I wish I ordered 2. I have had others and this rival's Goldie Tahini shakes. Their cheesesteaks are amazing along with always awesome Calabrian Cheese Fries, what could be bad. Everything I have ever had has been tasty, innovative and priced well! Perfect spot for a BYOB or non-alcoholic drink as well. Vegetarian, Meat eater, not sure? All will enjoy this place. Don't forget to take some cheescake to go.

What happens when a super awesome food truck becomes a restaurant? You get creative food, fast service, and a vibe like a familiar hangout from your youth. We got a world tour of tacos and Vietnamese ice coffee, and something from the special board too- way too much food but couldn't resist- had to pack it in and roll out of there. Want to come back soon to try more- everything sounded so good!!!

Embarking on a street-side culinary journey at Algorithm, the food truck with a distinctive edge, I sampled their signature Cheese Fries and intriguing Soy Sauce Fries. The Cheese Fries were a harmonious blend of crispy and soft, topped with a luscious layer of melted cheese—a true indulgence. However, while the Soy Sauce Fries boasted the same satisfying thickness, their aggressive saltiness overshadowed the fries' natural flavor. Algorithm's commendable service added a warm touch to the experience, making it a food truck worth revisiting for its cheesy delights and innovative offerings.

Algorithm has been our household's go-to "can't be bothered to cook tonight" spot for fantastic vegan junk food since they opened. Matt, the owner, often works the register and clearly puts a lot of heart and thought into creating a menu full of unique-yet-classic meals that would satisfy even the most skeptical meat-loving omnivore. When not making recommendations or taking orders, he makes the rounds to check in with customers and see if they need anything. I'm there enough that I've ordered and enjoyed almost the entire set menu, so I usually go for whatever special item's on offer, since those come and go. Today I had the Manchurian Chili Carrot Dog ("House-made Carrot "Not Dog" topped with Lentil & Pea Manchurian Chili, Raita and Cucumbers on a Sweet Potato Roll") and the Dirty Chai Milkshake - the perfect lunch combo. I'm also a huge fan of the Nashville Hot, the Cheesesteak (might be my favorite vegan cheesesteak in the city!), the Breakfast Sandwich, and the Korean BBQ Fries. And the sweet treats (usually some sort of decadent and inventive cheesecake are never not delightful). I also appreciate the free cold water and the emphasis on compostable to-go containers. And shoutout to Cody and the rest of the lovely staff there. Despite being near the big intersection of Passyunk, 5th, and Bainbridge (across from Philly Aids Thrift), the front of Algorithm could be a little easy to walk by without noticing, but you'd be a fool to miss it!

Great food, great people, what's not to love? Best vegan Nashville Hot and breakfast sandwich for sure. Best/only vegan Reuben? Delicious! In the running for best vegan cheesesteak too. Drunk and hungry on South Street? Stop on by! Sober and in the neighborhood? Stop on by! (Zero proof beers on offer.) Small shop with rockin' music, eat-in or take-out. Don't sleep on the specials!

Love seeing more and more vegan options in my area, so we're excited that Algorithm comes to Wissahickon Brewing! Had the nugs and korean bbq fries. Both were really great and the sauces for the nuggets were super delicious. Can't wait to try something new off their menu next time!

Delicious food. All on-point for me. Very accommodating of last minute crowds even though I was not able to call in and give them advance notice. Seating area is casual and generally sufficient but barely enough for the vegan crowd we had and two non-group people with about 4 seats remaining.I surprised people asking them if they were in the vegan meetup group or not.The cafe has been around for 2 years as a food truck and 3 months as a restaurant front. Truly up and coming just like the kind of places and some of the music I like to experience. Highly recommended to try out of curiosity from a vegan (deservingly certified) expert. The passion fruit tart and sunchoke miso fries I had were specials on that day. So they may not be available when you come here but there would be something different instead. The meetup I ran, one of the members was surprised that I only was able to attend one event and then my second event was running an event, lol. This place hands down personally competes with best vegan food with Charlie's was a Sinner and Vedge in my opinion. Best value certainly goes to Algorithm.

It was my first time trying this place and it did not disappoint! I'm not vegan but am pro eating healthy.... The options on the menu made it hard to choose! They offer a few tacos, sandwiches and grain bowl options.I went with the Orange Cauliflower Bowl and the Coconut Lime soup. Both were fresh and delicious! Great flavor with just the right amount of extra veggies in each. My order was for takeout. Definitely will be back!

Tried the Nashville hot sandwich at Clark Park a few weekends ago and this was honestly the best vegan chicken sandwich I've ever had!! The crisp was perfection and the slaw was just the right combination of flavors. We go to Clark Park every Saturday now hoping to get another one! Hope to see y'all there again soon!

I'm so happy that this vegan food truck exists and that is here in Philly! They come to my neighborhood, Fishtown, a lot and I've tried a lot of their stuff! I love the burger and the breakfast sandwich, and the Nashville hot is good if you like it really spicy! So flavorful. They are really kind as well. It is pretty pricey which is unfortunate especially because it doesn't draw non vegans, so many options are cheaper. I wish more food trucks were vegan.
