Lou's Sandwich Shop is a long-standing diner that has been serving fantastic cheesesteaks, burgers, zeps, and milkshakes since 1941. The restaurant maintains its great old-school vibe, making milkshakes with the machines from the 1950s. The friendly staff and the steaks and zeps being some of the best around make this a great value. While the vegetarian options are limited, they offer a great eggplant parm sandwich, as well as fries and milkshakes. Parking can be a bit of a challenge, but the quality of the food makes it worth the visit. Customers praise the friendly environment, great prices, and tasty food, particularly the "Zep" sandwich, a cousin of hoagies on a round roll. The counter space and interior create a nostalgic, old-school luncheonette atmosphere, perfect for enjoying a delicious meal.
