Place was packed when we got there for dinner, make reservations! Seems like staff gave us a bit of a hard time not having reservations, but being out of town, and just walking down the street find a good place to eat, heck... What did we know! But don't let that discern you, Italian food was great, had the portabella mushrooms, friends had the lobster ravioli, and a good fettuccine dish. All the food that we sampled was great we definitely come there again!

Delicious, great service and a friendly atmosphere. It is a shame there will be a new owner by the end of December, 22.

Old school family Italian. No frills dining but tas-t Was in the area for work. Might go back but seemed like a locals friendly place.

Everything we get is always delicious. There is always something different about a family run business where the owners are in the kitchen creating these wonderful meals. Been coming here for years!

Sorry to see this place go. Look forward to see what the new innerspring do. Gave 4 stars on the food because the twice baked potato was a little gummy.

The best meal I ever had was at Michael A's Authentic Italian Restaurant. The food was delicious and the service was wonderful. I had the chicken parmigiana and it was so good that I could hardly believe it. The sauce was perfect and the chicken was cooked just right. The bread was also delicious. I could not have asked for a better meal.

I've always loved Michael A's. They even dropped a favorite entree (mushroom raviolis) so I found a new one (stuffed eggplant.) Try the beans and greens

I was the guest of 2 friends who took me to lunch at Michael A's for my birthday. I had never been to the restaurant, but one of my party is a frequent customer. The restaurant is narrow with a bar on the left hand side, seating on the right, and a larger dining area in the back, near the kitchen. There is also a second floor dining room. Our waitress was new which is one of the reasons I gave the restaurant only four stars; she was very unfamiliar with the menu and the side dishes that came with a dish. One friend got crabmeat-stuffed shrimp which she said were delicious. A second friend got almond-topped grouper, also good. I got the crab cakes which, despite being on the lunch menu, were not available unless I paid an upcharge. Looking around, several people were having chicken/veal Piccata or Romano. Everyone seemed to be enjoying their meal.Prices are reasonable and there are some great lunch deals. I will return.

Although the filet and cocktails were excellent, the lettuce in the salad was limp and the wedding soup could have used more flavor. The atmosphere was lovely and the service was great.

We went to this restaurant today for lunch and was very impressed. Service was exceptional & they were busy. Food was great & they were so appreciative of our business. We'll definitely be going back a lot.

Very good food that is inexpensive. Decor is dated . Servers and owner talked to customers and seemed friendly. Excellent Tiramisu. Went recently for dinner and Tiramisu. Always homemade and delicious food. Here is a photo of the Tiramisu and my husband's dessert.

Lovely staff, lovely food. Wait. I have to say more than that. The food was amazing. I had the Chicken Ribiato with a salad. It was so delicious, I had trouble saving room for dessert. I cannot remember the name of the dessert I had, but it was Italian and was custard on top of fresh strawberry puree. It was also amazing. You gotta try this place!

Italian, authentic, plus lots of American staples as well. We were there for lunch, and we will come again soon for dinner. I lived in Italy for nearly ten years, but Michael A's tiramisu is one of the best I have ever had. I can't wait to go back and i know that i will have the veal ossobuco, if the special is still on.Oh... And the price was quite reasonable as well. On top of everything, Oakmont is an absolutely charming little place, well worth a visit.

I was looking forward to this place to redeem itself. Unfortunately, all parts of my meal were under seasoned and not flavorful. A little bit of salt goes a very long way. Our waiter was sufficient. The wait times for food were longer than I would have expected for only a few tables being seated. Reminds me of the show kitchen nightmares. Where is Ramsay when you need him? Who calls food over a pa system?
