We did not stay at the bed and breakfast, only went for Mother's Day dinner. The food was very good, fresh and hot. It is served family style, with 3 main courses. And several side dishes, where you take what you want from each, then pass it to the others at your table. The country general store (gift shop) was really good as well, with plenty of variety, and prices were reasonable. We had nothing to complain about, and recommend paying this place a visit!
I LOVE this place. Food and service is ALWAYS excellent. We celebrated Mother’s Day a week earlier this year and of course Hickory Bridge (food and service) never disappoints. The brisket was tender and tasty, the crab imperial was perfection and of course the fried chicken is a favorite. Sort of glad it’s of a distance away because otherwise I’d have dinner here every evening throughout the summer season.
My wife and I stay the weekend here twice a year. It is our favorite place. A home away from home. We are always treated very well. The cottages are our absolute favorite. The breakfast is always amazing. As well as the restaurant. We love the gift shop too! It’s only about 15 minutes from Gettysburg. So I highly recommend it.
