Nice place for a hot meal and a cold beer

The staff are great and the food is good. The same people on here complaining about pricing and portions are the ones who willingly pay 19 dollars for a value meal at Mcdonalds, and then complain that a real meal here costs 20.

Been coming here for years. Used to be really great. Paid 20$ for the smallest wings in Schuylkill county and a handful of freezer fries. Sad this place used to be known for large delicious wings. 32$ after a 5$ tip. This place is really suffering and a long way from where it used to be.

I stopped in at Deer Lake Pub and Restaurant and had a fantastic meal and experience from start to finish. I ordered a dozen wings, extra crispy with Asian sesame sauce, and a side of fries. The wings were cooked perfectly — super crispy just like I asked, and the Asian sesame sauce had the perfect balance of sweet and savory. The fries were golden, hot, and seasoned just right.

What really stood out, though, was the service. Our waitress, Karlee, was absolutely amazing. She was fast, attentive, respectful, and had such a friendly attitude that really made us feel welcome. She checked in at all the right times without hovering, and you could tell she genuinely cared about making sure we had a great experience.

Between the food and the top-notch service, this place is definitely worth visiting. I’ll absolutely be back again soon!

Absolutely loved my experience at Deer Lake Pub Restaurant! The food was incredible, with generous portions and mouth-watering flavors. Our waitress, Karlee, was attentive, friendly, and made sure we had everything we needed throughout our meal. The atmosphere was cozy and inviting, perfect for a night out with family or friends. The brisket was delicious. My 2 companions also enjoyed their meals. The bartender and waitress were very friendly and knowledgeable. I highly recommend the Deer Lake Pub.

Great food ! I went there for the first time . I had the Jack Daniel's burger and it was outstanding. Great atmosphere. I will be returning soon .

Cheap beer prices. All I had was the fried mozzarella. Bit expensive for 3 pieces of fried cheese @ 10 bucks. Lacked flavor.
Overall nice atmosphere. Was there on a slow night so there wasn't much to experience.

Definitely one of the best Reuben Sandwiches around. Great quality corned beef packed with flavor!

We have been here many times, and enjoyed it, however the last two times we have been here something is off or different maybe a kitchen change but both times food was cold...on valentines day I had brisket that was ice cold, and tonight we waited 45 min for cold food again, the wings which we used to love were cold and not even crispy, the food has taken a 180 in the wrong direction, service was ok but we probably won't be going back. Also heard another table complaining about cold food tonight as well

Ate at this place a few times over the last 10 years or so and it was always ok, stopped in 3/21/2025 when the place we wanted to eat at down the road was packed. Guessing it has new management since we were there last? The beer was cold and the side salad was good and fresh. Skimpy on the servings, not properly cooked and WAY over priced.
