The location of this Doubletree is excellent if you wanted to be near all the downtown Philly attractions. Numerous destinations are within walking distance. However, the rooms it offers can be a hit or miss. Our original assigned room had a leaking faucet that dripped continuously. Furthermore, one of the bed sheets had some kind of stain on it. Kudos to the management for their quick response as soon as we brought it to their attention. We were assigned an adjacent room within minutes. They updated our digital key as well so that we didn't have to swap it out at the front desk. It seems that all rooms have a great view to the downtown city skyline. They do charge a fee for parking, as the parking garage is right next door. Overall, a good option to stay for overnight if you happens to be in City Center for business, or visiting theater/other attractions.

Great service, and the accommodations are very clean and well taken care of. Parking was convenient and the suites were great . Close to the theater district and the Reading market place and walkable to Rittenhouse Square. Second visit, and it was outstanding.

This hotel has those fresh clean vibes as soon as you step into the room, which I absolutely live for! It was our first time in Philly and Amy Jones in the lobby was very kind to help us with mapping our way around the city. The location of this hotel is perfect for a busy itinerary, right in the heart of the city. DoubleTree standards never disappoint!

I'm here for a business conference and had questions about different things to do. Amy Jones was amazing. She is very thorough, helpful, and informative! And when she found out I was already a Hilton Honors guest she showed me some amazing opportunities.

Absolutely horrific experience. Room was coated in dust. “Clean” towels had what appeared to be crap stains on them. Bathroom cabinet was partially dissembled. Room service food was soggy and gross. Just miserable in every way. When I called the front desk to get new towels (because of the crap stains) I was on hold for 30 minutes. This hotel is in a great spot downtown but desperately needs new management.

I came to Philadelphia for a work trip, but I flew in a few days early for personal time too. I got to experience the DoubleTree by Hilton Hotel Philadelphia Center City as a guest and as a conference attendee. If you know me, I typically love staying at the DoubleTree for FREE COOKIES but this is one of the less satisfying visits. Pro Tip! Download the Hilton Honors app to be able to select your room. The day before you will be able to review which rooms are available within the type you paid for. Room 2116 was my home for the week. Staff here had some really nice people and some really grumpy people. For instance, when I was checking in I asked if I can keep the same room between my personal reservation and my work reservation. They were both similar room types so it would save me from packing up and checking out, and save their team from cleaning. First person super nice and accommodating, but by the next day I had to re-explain my situation and they were a bit annoyed at me. Also some staff are nicer about giving water to Hilton honors member than others. All of the graveyard staff were consistently nice. As for the room, the primary dissatisfaction was how dated everything was. For mid $300s per night, this place was a wreck. Rusted looking tubs, stained looking desk chairs, and a visibly dirty remote control. CRINGE. I got my wet wipes out and started cleaning everything I would touch during my stay aggressively. Imagine if I had to check out just to clean another room? Sigh. The TV guide kept saying no available information, so I had to keep channel surfing to find stuff I wanted to watch. I like that DoubleTree rooms have a refrigerator without upgrading. I did not see a hair dryer which usually comes standard. Ohh THIN WALLS! You can hear your neighbors turn on their water or flush their toilets or when they come back and the rooms close. As a conference attendee, the same thin wall issue comes up as we try to listen to the speakers and you'll hear staff behind the room next door dropping things. The spacing was not comfortable and it felt like a squishy constant fire hazard situation. The food for the conference was especially awful and bland. The meals were paid for with our very expensive registration fees and the food was preset, wasted in some cases, inconsistent amongst plates at the same table, and awful portions. These were long conference days and the meals provided did not feel like suitable sustenance. Their food just tastes bad in general, cause I ordered some room service food on my last night there and it was so awful that I could barely eat the inedible bland chicken noodle soup and hard stale pretzel when I was starving. I order room service at other doubletrees and have not had this issue before. There were some nice acts of kindness with the staff, but they really can't make up for the awful expensive and dated hotel with thin walls. Management should really consider major upgrades. I know they get enough money cause they got plentyyyyyy of money out of my stay.

The perfect hotel. Large breakfast buffet daily with hot cooked foods, bagels, lox, yogurt and anything I could imagine eating for breakfast. Room was clean and spacious, with wonderful views of Philadelphia. Room was cleaned daily, without us having to request this, just like in pre-Covid times. Free laundry machine, but only complaint is there is only one laundry machine in this enormous hotel for guests. Several guests were lined up to use it. Hotel staff was exceptionally pleasant and accommodating, especially in restaurant. Hotel is centrally located so you don't need a car.

Hotel was decent, but our Kofil Hussain bartender was absolutely perfect. Entertaining and fun, while making sure all glasses stayed full. Was unimpressed with the quality and price of breakfast, egg was cold, pancakes stuck to bottom, and hard as a rock. Not worth the $22 charged

We stayed there because the hotel was right across the street from theater, where my wife and daughter were seeing a show that evening. My 2 complaints, was that the parking was way overpriced at $38.00 for only one night! Also the baths rods in the bathroom was broken and fell off the wall twice and onto the floor!

Neco Belin and Sander were the best. They are awesome staff and they are an acess to your hotel. I will return and stay at this hotel. There hospitality was amazing. They made my experience visiting the city amazing.

Great stay! Easy walk to conference center. Efficient, pleasant staff. Room clean, equipped and functional. The gym was sufficient and nice. Convenience store’s prices were what you’d imagine a hotel in downtown Philly, but had a nice selection. If I could change one thing, perhaps more sound proofing between guest rooms.

Matthew at the Standing O Bar is AMAZING!!! His customer service and bartending skills are unmatched! Although the kitchen was no longer taking orders, he was able to get me a hot meal. It was greatly appreciated! The reception staff Mona and Sander and the bellman Osman were wonderful. Tashna

This hotel is in a central location for Philly. About a half 10-15 minute walk to all the touristy sites like Reading Terminal, City Hall and the Love Park. It's another 5 minutes to the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall. Philly is a very walkable city This hotel was convenient in letting you check in with your phone using the app and then getting a digital key on your phone so you don't need to get a hard copy. The app even told us when our room was ready, which was a lot sooner than "check in time." Really pleasant surprise. Using the app was pretty easy and convenient cause you can message the hotel for things you need or to ask questions and then there's even a things to do in Philly portion. Love the app. What was confusing was the parking situation. Yes there is a garage in the back of the building and you get a ticket from the garage and you have to take the ticket and give it to the hotel so they can exchange it was another card that you would use to hand over to the parking attendant. We brought the ticket to one of the desk and the woman who helped us, Megan, was unclear, unsure and very rude about the situation. She basically scolded my husband and I about taking the parking ticket, saying we shouldn't have taken it (then how were we suppose to get in?!) and that now the hotel thinks we have two cars in the garage (what?!) I think she had no idea what she was talking about and took our ticket and told us to use our phone to get out of the garage. When I tried to clarify and ask questions, she rudely cut me off and talked over me. We ended going back to the desk later on to speak to someone else and they fixed the whole situation. Everyone else who worked in the hotel was so much nicer. Megan is just a bad egg; there were other guests who said the same thing cause they had poor interactions with her as well. The hotel was really busy with multiple conferences going on this weekend (which is why we came). It was convenient to stay in the same place as the conference so I could meet up with my husband for breaks and lunch. I recommend bringing a sound machine cause the hotel is right in the middle of the city so you constantly hear cars honking, music blasting and people yelling.
