I have enjoyed the authentic cuisine here for years. However, this past Friday after my matinee we experienced a very rude hostess who basically kicked us out of our table because one of the four of us hungry musicians was going to choose a dessert instead of an entree. This employee insisted that we could not sit in dining room if we didn’t ALL order entrees. “What if we wanted to order seven appetizers?”” NO, everyone must order entree!” I’ve never heard of such...read full review

Alice Pizza and Restaurant (Locust Street) offers a chill environment and a wide selection of pizza slices, with one reviewer describing it as serving "one of the best slices" they've had in the city. The restaurant is praised for its delicious food, drinks, and desserts, including the fettuccine alla panna and gelato. The unique "to the cut" style allows customers to choose the size of their pizza slice, which is then weighed and priced per ounce. The fungi pizza is noted for its generous amount of mushrooms and creamy cheese sauce. While the pizza may sometimes be a bit undercooked, it is normally a wide variety of good-quality, tasty rectangular sheet-pan pizza with plenty of choices for vegetarians and meat-eaters alike.
The restaurant experience is generally good, with excellent customer service and a clean environment. Many customers enjoy sitting at the bar, where the service is great and fun drinks are available. However, some have reported that the place can get crowded, making it difficult to wait for food. Service is usually friendly and attentive; staff takes the time to reheat and cut slices for easier eating. While some find the pizzas too crispy after reheating, the pricing can be on the higher side. Overall, the restaurant is considered kid-friendly, especially during lunchtime, and customers recommend trying dishes like cacio e pepe.
