I came in early afternoon (around 11am). The place was clean with soft music playing. I was greeted promptly by the server and self sat. I ordered the chicken and waffles with a strawberry lemonade. The strawberry lemonade was delicious ! The wait for my order wasn’t too long and the food was hot and well plated. I enjoyed every part of my experience at the restaurant. Then I ordered the short ribs to go.

I'm not sure if they're under new management or if there is new staff. I'm pregnant and usually order the scrapple and home fries combo off of Uber eats for months now. Today coincidentally when I added extra homefries, I didn't receive any scrapple at all. When I brought to staffs attention, they were extremely rude and told me its either scrapple or home fries, not both even though that's what I've been receiving since February 2025. The exchange resulted in me having to pay $7 extra dollars to appease my craving for 1 piece of scrapple. Don't order off of Uber eats because they do not honor the menu, especially if owner is not in house.

Stopped for lunch after seeing Bartram's Garden. Friendly service, but not fast which tells me they take care and put love into every dish. The beef short ribs and grits were spectacular. Fantastic flavors, meat was cooked perfectly, and southern grits done right. Delicious meal, plus the fruit lemonades are a must!

Omg. First time and it was well worth it! Food, service atmosphere excellent. Had the seafood omelette bursting with crab meat and shrimps, it did not disappoint. Hubby had chicken cheesesteak he was well pleased. Got fish platters for take home. Pack patients as chef do they thing in that overly clean kitchen 🫶

I dined at this place before, this particular day, I ordered on DoorDash, and maybe that's where the discrepancies came from with this order. I ordered the short ribs and grits with a side of two eggs with cheese as stated on the menu. My food took forever so by time I got my food it was cold and I had to reheat it. My eggs did not have cheese and I paid for it so that was a disappointment and it wasn't fresh eggs, it was liquid eggs so once reheated they were disgusting. The main course wasn't what I expected either. I asked for cheese in my grits too and they have cheese grits on the menu so I'm not sure why I didn't receive the cheese grits and was willing to pay an up charge for them. Half the gravy from my short ribs was soaked into the paper bag it came in and the meat itself didn't taste seasoned so the little bit of gravy that was left is what gave flavor to the short ribs. The grits weren't seasoned either, you can only taste the cream, no salt pepper or butter. I'm just disappointed because I waited a long time for the food and it didn't meet the standard I anticipated.

I’m so big on reviewers and these reviews are very misleading! I ordered a few platter (steaks, eggs, potatoes, grits and fish) and the food was nasty. There was NO SEASONING on my food whatsoever so when I was eating it felt like I was eating food for someone with high blood pressure. My mother, friend and I were very disappointed in our food! If these reviews are based on the customer service, I get it because the young lady who took our order was very pleasant!

This was my first time visiting Amari’s by way of a friend’s recommendation and all I can say is ummm mmm mmmm. The food was amazing! Both my mother and I ate everything on our plate and didn’t leave a single crumb! Everything was A1 and their Hibiscus tea was amazingly delicious and refreshing. They’ve gained a forever customer. Please give this business a try, you will not be disappointed. Please don’t walk there…run there.☺️ I will most definitely be back ✨
