Tanner made us feel incredibly welcome and as regulars on our first visit while making us the best dirty chai we’ve ever had. Fulfilling and fun conversation in a cozy space with a wide selection of books.

Beautiful, comfortable space. Great coffee. Good music. The bookstore/cafe thing isn’t always easy to pull off, but this place is doing it right: a very carefully curated selection of books; not trying to be your all-purpose bookstore. Will absolutely be back here.

This café is absolutely wonderful! The owners are the sweetest people ever, and are very generous with their customers. They have the greatest selection of books and drinks, it was perfect. The atmosphere was welcoming and the seating is incredibly comfortable, there were so many options! I had a 10/10 experience here, will definitely be coming back!

Beautiful space, well curated, with your relaxation in mind. The opposite of a Starbucks. My iced chai was made with love.

This is my favorite coffee shop in the kensington area. Such a welcome addition to the neighborhood. Their selection of books is thoughtful and the space is welcoming. Oh, and their coffee is very good.

I’m so grateful that I discovered this hidden gem! As a conceptual, Black-owned café/curated book store, it's a true treasure for anyone visiting. The owners exude warmth and kindness—they’re so personable! I've had the pleasure of seeing co-owner Terrance engage customers in captivating conversations spanning politics to art. It's not just a café; it's a sanctuary where you can savor a delightful artisanal latte while being productive or mingling with new acquaintances during their vibrant after-hour events. I wholeheartedly recommend it! A wonderful asset to the neighborhood.

I want to love this place given the proximity to my house. Unfortunately their need to police where people sit - even and especially when I’ve been the only person there for extended periods of time - is a huge turn off. If it was busy, I’d totally get it! There are too many competitors who strive to create a welcoming atmosphere in the neighborhood.

Great atmosphere, great coffee. And it’s more than a cafe: it’s an intellectual space for like-minded people! And check out the books, too. They are all handpicked by owner who is an avaricious reader!

Stopped in while on a road trip, this was the coolest coffee shop I’ve been to. Their strawberry espresso latte was delicious, the barista was so nice and books everywhere! Wish I lived closer I’d be there daily.
