Bartender did not hesitate to make me my favorite whiskey sour. The food is inspired and the tuna melt rocks. The kid loves it too.

Came here on a Friday night for drinks with a group of servers and bartenders and we were ABSOLUTELY APPALLED at the service here. The bartender was rude and acted like it was an inconvenience that we were sitting at the bar waiting for drinks when there were all of ten people in the establishment. Unless you look like a grungy hipster transplant who appears white and heterosexual, you aren’t getting service with a smile here and will actually get attitude for having the audacity to order a drink. I’ve never in my life been treated so poorly in this town and will never be back! And we tip very well and are very respectful to service workers - a damn shame!

Favorite happy hour spot. Come for the fries and the beach chairs. Stay for the overheard conversations about polyamory or the compliments on your genderbent fashion.

I’ve been thinking about writing this review for awhile and didn’t want to but I’ve been coming here for years and have always been impressed with the food menu but in the past year it’s gone down hill. It lacks imagination and the balanced flavors that I use to associate with ASB. If it wasn’t for some of the chill bar staffI wouldn’t be coming back.

Saw this place pop up on my maps and went at the last minute when Halloween plans fell through, a great experience with a fun menu and great drinks and atmosphere. A little pricey, but like other reviews said the tinned fish board is amazing and I loved the rosemary greyhound cocktail, such a fresh kick with the savory fish samplings. Just an awesome experience. Will be back for the sardine sandwich!

Definitely worth going for the food. We were blown away. The server however was not happy to be there. If we ever went back we’d try sitting at the bar as they seemed much more enthusiastic.

The sliders were great.. but the Pastel de Nata was awful. It was a big Pastel, but it just wasn’t there.

Been coming here for a few years now. Always love the attitude of the staff and the vibe is always on point. It really feels like a home away from home, which is sorely lacking in many establishments.

That said, the food is generally great, but they’ve been messing with the flavours lately. The new chipotle honey wings are boring - why did they take away the mango wings? They were fire! And the patty melt for a “smash” burger? Yo there’s nothing smashed about that burger, except perhaps the cost, huh? $13 or something for a crummy burger. The patty melt at least had some real appeal as a well done crowd fave.

I’ll still go here, but I’ll think twice about ordering food. Big love to the staff always!

I love the happy hour sardine sliders. Excellent, crispy fries

Kid-friendliness: My kid likes fries, whole pickles, and hot dogs, and they have great fries, whole pickles, and hot dogs! A block from Chew Playground, so happy hour here can be a parent's reward for a late afternoon playgrounding.
