I was extremely disappointed with my experience at this restaurant. The prices were shockingly high for what we received, and the food quality was far below expectations.

Really liked the place. Ambience is wonderful and service was quick. I became a fan of the chicken 65. Dosas were also delectable!

Worst indian food I have ever tasted in USA I ordered Non veg thali it was so bad rice given is cold and curries served are not even consider as a cup full they are served with tea spoons and in non veg thali you get both chicken fry and curry with are not even minmim of 2 pieces I guess charging 27$ and given the worst only possible with this restaurant I guess and I ordered filter coffee were the milk tasted like over burnt and not even a sip tasted like filter coffee...for 7$ thats is ridiculous, one of the worst experiences ever.

Food was good one visit and not so good second time during our recent visit to Philly. The service was very poor both times. Perhaps servers need training. Prices were reasonable and location was nice.

Actually no stars.

My recent lunch trip to this restaurant was really disappointing, especially because of how much it cost. I paid over $85 for the food and another $40 just for parking! For that much money, I expected a lot more.

What went wrong…

Bad Rice - First, they brought out white rice that wasn't cooked all the way. We were said that only one side of the rice pot was cooked and unfortunately we were served the uncooked part. Seriously!! Then, they gave us rotis (flatbreads), but they weren't good either.

Poor Lunch Special: The lunch thali (a platter with different dishes) was just bad overall.

Wrong Rice for South Indian Food: The most confusing part was getting Basmati rice with a South Indian thali. That's just not how it's done. South Indian food uses different rice. Basmati rice doesn’t go well with Sambar, Rasam, tamarind gravy etc. No vegetables were served.

High Price for Bad Food: It felt like we paid a huge amount for a meal that wasn't worth it at all. We left feeling sad about the whole experience.

I have to talk about the positives too.

I have to say, the biryani tasted good. That was a relief. The young waiter was also very nice and did a good job.

If a restaurant charges so much, the food needs to be excellent every time. If they can't cook simple things like rice correctly or offer authentic dishes, they should either drastically improve their food quality or lower their prices so customers know what to expect.

Ambience - ridiculous style. Gave a dirty look. And it was noicy.

I would not recommend this restaurant to anyone.

The butter chicken here is insane. Best I’ve ever had. Great atmosphere too, very traditional. Highly recommend this place.

The portion is so small for the price you pay! I ordered butter chicken and there were four small pieces of chicken in it :(((

Got takeout masala with chicken and chicken korma on Jul 18 '25, favorite Indian cuisine in the city, rivaled by Indian Char House in West Philly. I like the vibe and street here more.

Really legit Indian food, expect to spend $30 at least for an entree plus tip but it’s clearly high quality. I had the Mutton Kurma
