I got the free pass to the Metropolitan lounge while waiting for my suitcase as Amtrak Florence sent it to New York instead.
Nice lounge, big and clean with free snacks and drinks. Friendly staff too and the big long sofa was comfortable and extremely helpful for a quick nap while waiting for 6 hours.
I'll take a business class for a long distance trip with Amtrak so I can enjoy other lounges too.

Food could do better once renovations of the station's food court is finished, but at least the snacks and drinks are complementary for those who have access to the lounge. A few damaged charging ports that need of maintenance, but it is peaceful and quiet. I managed to play a few games on my Nintendo Switch as I waited for my next train. The staff was indeed social and very caring. They did check up on me until it was time for me to head to my gate. This was my first...
