Barcelona Wine Bar is a popular spot for an enjoyable evening with delicious food and wine. The servers are attentive and friendly, providing excellent service. Highly recommended dishes include the batatas, bacon wrapped dates, sheep's cheese, and paella, with the paella being a highlight for many guests. The restaurant also caters to celiac guests with a dedicated fryer. Customers appreciate the great ambiance with both indoor and outdoor seating options, creating a cozy and charming atmosphere. The menu is eclectic, offering unique and satisfying dishes. Desserts such as chocolate cake, flan, burnt cheesecake, and olive oil cake are highly praised, and guests often enjoy a sangria while dining. Although there may be a wait for a table, especially for larger groups, many agree that the experience is worth it.
Recent visitors enjoyed the patio, where they tried the cheese tray, which was amazing and gave a chance to try cheese they had never tasted before. Service was friendly and attentive. Others had a lovely late afternoon visit, noting that parking was easier during the day, but still found the service very good and appreciated how the staff checked for food allergies before taking orders. The tapas they sampled—ham croquettas, empanadas, and hummus—were all very good. They also ordered vegetable paella and seafood paella, but found the rice in both slightly mushy, which was disappointing. The seafood paella had a tomato-based sauce with little flavor or spice and lacked seafood for the price, with only a few small mussels, shrimp, clams, and calamari. Overall, guests enjoyed the cocktails, service, and atmosphere, though the paella was not as satisfying.
The restaurant also features a great happy hour with amazing and attentive bartenders. Their drinks are well-made and pair perfectly with the complimentary bread served with olive oil. Martinis and the charcuterie board are highly recommended for a complete experience.
