I was there on 12/12/25. The food was not what I expected. I ordered chicken and waffles, and I did not enjoy it. The wings were really small, they tasted ok, and the blackened waffle had a peculiar taste. The service from the waitress was ok, until after she collected my payment and returned with my change. My change was short $10, and I sense that I was intentionally shorted. I could see being shorted a dollar or two, but $10 seemed too intentional. I was given my correct change after I pointed it out. So if you intend to patronize this establishment, don't order the wings and waffles, and count your change. By the way, the gratuity is included in the check.

Maybe this night was a bad night but the food was not good! My stuffing was so mushy it was like mashed potatoes but the flavor was amazing! The sweet potato casserole were good. The fried chicken was ok! Everything came out hot and ready but everything we asked for on the menu they didn't have that night! The lemonade taste like sugar water! Staff was nice tho and attentive. We left smelling like burnt chicken tho. Over all I give it a 3 out of 10! I'll try it again on a different day because maybe it was just a bad night!

Liked the food and nice decor. Bathrooms also nice. The only feedback is 1) Restaurant needs a host in the front of the restaurant to give more guidance to customers that have never been before. 2)Would have preferred hearing different music playing other than Spotify with the commercials (and songs with explicit lyrics). I would visit again.

Some of the best chicken I have had in a long time! we got a whole chicken and sides, as well as some chicken tenders!! Very tasty - especially the tenders!! The place was unusually quiet for a friday night - we were the only patrons all night! There was also a corkage fee (a price to bring our own beers). NOT COOL!!

I'm a fan of soul food, and this place doesn't disappoint. Everything we had was delicious: Deviled Eggs Chicken Cheesesteak Beignets Fried Chicken Candied Yams Collard Greens Mac & Cheese Peach Cobbler Hand Pies! The one thing that really stood out was the Chicken Cheesesteak Beignets. Honey...if they set up a shop in NOLA just selling these, they would be the new staple beignets of Crescent City. *I just wouldn't arrived as soon as they open up. They were a little delayed when first opening up.

Absolutely delicious food and great service! Don’t walk but run to experience the best fried chicken . Mani was our server and she was so friendly. I’ll be back with a larger group of people.

I was really looking forward to trying this black owned establishment. However no one greeted me upon arrival. I stood there for 30 minutes without anyone greeting me and on top of that I've already had a reservation. Absolutely ridiculous !

The chicken was good, I was upset because I went specifically for the black waffle they didn’t have so she took it off the bill also I ordered the pop n chicken that popcorn machine was filthy and old. That banana pudding was wayyy overpriced and it wasn’t in a tin. The brussel sprouts need seasoning, we weren’t offered water but I saw all the other tables with water. I can go on to be honest cause See when I try new restaurants I like it to be what’s advertised and if there’s an issue or items are sold out customers should know about that before they order. Overall it was cute but I’d only get wings from there moving forward.

The place was small not many food selections. Had bottle service had to request bottle opener and ice several times. Did not have silver ware or napkins at table had to request and wait for them after receiving first meal course. No kind of soap in bathroom to wash hands while still eating was asked twice did we need boxes. Service was lousy I was at Avana the night before much better service the young ladies that worked here just didn't care. Long braids hanging on more than two of them no hair nets while handling the food. The nicest part of the place was the lady at the front who seated you . All down hill from there .

I really enjoyed my experience there. Although the restaurant was small and crowded, the service was excellent. My server kept checking on me and brought my food right on time, and it was nice and hot—just how I like it. I can't wait to go back; the food was delicious!
