Awesome dinner! My friend and I shared the sucking pig, and the fried chicken. Both insanely good! For an app we shared the conch fritters with crab salad. The pig dish came with a green salad. All just so delicious! Highly recommend!
You can't go wrong with anything you order here.
Native Puerto Rican. Food is pretty average overall which means it is very overpriced. Some picks were good like the ceviche (ironically not Puerto Rican lol) and staples like fried plantains and mofongo. However, the drinks were lacking in alcohol and flavor and the mains like suckling pig and gandules stew tasted dry or with generic seasoning. Decor was also
Tonight my wife and I had a reservation elsewhere and were left standing waiting for a table for over 40 minutes, we decided to leave and go across the street to Bolo where we had an amazing meal. They sat us right away and we already had drinks in our hand by the time the other restaurant tried texting us to say our table was ready. Cevice, some skewers, a salad, bacala fritters, the chicken chicherones, and the beef. Everything was amazing. We definitely over ordered but were happy with everything we got. Good sangria too. Another great meal at Bolo. Will be back soon. Chef is great and so friendly. Really saved our night.
Quality authentic dishes. You can definitely tell the difference of between a chef pushing out dishes because it’s their job, and having a love of the cuisine. There is definitely love in this food.
Absolutely amazing meal. Loved every dish!
A wonderful place, food was great and the atmosphere was fantastic. They have a solid selection of NA beverages.
So so good! The suckling pig was the standout. We also got a couple pinchos (octopus was amazing) and the whole fish. Service a little slow at times. But, overall good vibes
We must have gone on an off night, after we sat, it took 25 minutes for someone to come to our table to great us. I had to flag down someone just to get water. The staff seemed unengaged. There was no explanation of the menu. When we finally got to order, we ordered blind and hungry. The drinks were inventive and good, but they came after we were halfway through our appetizers. I got the black bean dumplings which were good and the Vaca Frita which was oddly tasteless. I left feeling very mixed about this place. The decor was great, but the overall experience was underwhelming. I wouldn’t actively go back, but I wouldn’t say no if someone booked this and asked me to try again.
The ceviches were the highlight! All the entrees were decent but nothing remarkable. Tip: bring cash because they put the burden of the card processing fee onto you

What a cute place! Love the atmosphere of this restaurant. The food was quite good, though my chicken was a bit on the dry side.
Drinks were good too, love the flavor combinations that they had.
Suckling Pig and Calamari were standouts. Excellent restaurant!
The first time we went we ended up leaving after waiting 60 minutes beyond our reservation time since we still hadn't gotten a table, so I was ready to write this place off. Shortly after, though, they messaged us through Resy apologizing and gracefully offering to have us back, which I actually was very impressed by. I was ready to hate my experience here the second time but could have not been more pleasantly surprised.
The menu has a ton of different options and we had a tough time ultimately choosing what to get and definitely got too much:
- Salmon ceviche: I'll never be a ceviche fan but I liked this more than most. It wasn't as sour as most are and had a nice mango-esque-ness to it.
- 2 skewers: the octopus and the scallops. I could've had 100 of the scallop skewers, maybe a highlight of the night. Each came with 2 different sauces, all of which did service to the meat.
- Cuban bean dumplings: We eat a lot of dumplings so I thought nothing of this but it was recommended. It was such an interesting texture and the sauce was divine. I wish I could've done more with the sauce and hated to give the extra back.
- Calamari: If we got rid of one dish it would've been this. The calamari was so light and fluffy so don't get me wrong it was delicious. The sauce wasn't my favorite but it didn't need it.
- Seafood asopao: An interesting combination of textures which works. Healthy portion of various seafood. Not a ton of rice but I didn't mind that.
- Vaca frita: The texture of the meat was perfect. This with the beans really was a hit. I don't think I needed the other side of the dish (the tomatoes and avocado), but that's fine.
- Flan with candied papaya: Not personally a huge flan guy but I think this was done nicely.
Maybe it was because we were invited back but the service was super attentive and everyone was so pleasant. There was a bit of a gap between two of the courses and we did spend a full 2 hours, so it's not a short meal but it didn't feel like it necessarily dragged on. The space itself is nice-we sat upstairs and the roof is a bit of a skylight. Their window seating looks really cool because you can sit half of your table on one side and the other half on the other side (outside), which is a great use of this little counter.
Overall, really made up for itself and we thoroughly enjoyed our meal here.
Atmosphere was really nice (cute interior and fun music) but food was generally pretty bland and underwhelming especially given the high price. Would come back for drinks and the beignets, but wouldn't have dinner here again.
We went for Happy Hour and it was great. Food was excellent and varied, good drink selection, really pretty decor, nice servers, not too noisy.
