I've been to Bolo too many times to count since it opened. The food here is excellent, the service is great, and the ambiance is unlike any other place in the city. It is a true Center City gem. I always go for the Vaca Frita with a side of Maduros. Easily my favorite meal in Philly.

Really enjoyed this Puerto Rican (fusion) restaurant. We had the summer prix fixe menu which was creative and full of flavour. The chef personally came by to explain his inspiration for the dishes, while a band played downstairs. Great vibe. Our 2.5 year old liked every dish.

When I visited Bolo a few months ago and had their tasting menu it was quite literally one of the best meals I have ever had and certainly one of my favorite restaurant experiences in Philadelphia. After visiting again last night I was a bit disappointed that it didn't measure up to what I had previously.
