Buena Vista Mexican Restaurant & Cantina is a neighborhood joint offering fresh and savory food. The taco salad and Mexican salad have amazing portions and great taste. The enchiladas with rice and beans are fantastic, with well-seasoned rice and beans. Customers can pick three different enchilada fillings like steak, ground beef, and chorizo. The Al pastor enchiladas with mole sauce, nachos, chips salsa, guac, and plantains are out of this world. The chile relleno is absolutely fabulous. The combo platter with 2 ground beef tacos and a chicken enchilada with verde sauce is good, with the enchilada being the best part. Staff is friendly and attentive. However, some experiences note that happy hour is only at the bar with six seats, and the restaurant cannot split bills or accept more than one card, which felt unwelcoming. Overall, the atmosphere is fun, service is nice, and the place is a must.
