I visited Chorsu Kebabhouse and noticed a problem with my bill. According to the menu:
• Borsh – $7.00
• Somsa Beef – $3.00
• Green/Black Tea with Lemon – $5.00
Subtotal should be $15.00.
With Philadelphia’s 8% sales tax, the total should have been $16.20.
However, on the receipt I was charged:
• Borsh – $7.27
• Somsa Beef – $3.12
• Tea – $5.19
Subtotal $15.58 + 8% tax $1.25 = $16.83.
That means the prices on the receipt were already increased by several cents each, and then sales tax was added again on top. Effectively, this looks like the tax was included twice, making the total 63¢ higher than it should have been.
I believe this may be an error in the point-of-sale system, but it results in customers being overcharged

Stopped by this place to grab a bite after seeing the good rating on Google Maps. Ordered borscht, cheburek, flatbread, and tea. They only brought out the borscht and an old samsa instead.
The borscht was disappointing — basically just cabbage in unsalted broth. They really don’t know how to make proper borscht. My friend ordered lagman soup, and he actually enjoyed it.
Overall, if you’re really hungry and there’s nothing else around, it’s okay for a quick stop. Otherwise, I wouldn’t recommend it.

The hot dog comes in a delicious bread topped with fresh crunchy vegetables. Fried chicken was tasty too. People serving are kind and welcoming.
