Cray Taste Old City Reviews
I love supporting black owned businesses but I also expect good service. We were very disappointed with the service and the food. The waitress was friendly but not attentive, had she come back to the table to check on us she would have known that almost two hrs later one person never got their food. The chef came to our table and claimed to have sent it out… Ok, well it never made it to this table. Two ppl in the party complained that their food was cold, we could not all eat...read full review

Saw this restaurant on Action news, so we tried it out.. The chef himself greeted us, we were seated. The waitress was awesome. We ordered fried chicken wings for a appetizer. Crispy, flavors dancing in your mouth. I ordered Rasta pasta with shrimp & chicken. My husband had the seafood trio, my best friends ordered red velvet waffles, grits, salmon platter..
Told the chef we’ll be back
Y’all need to check it out.. every dish had presentation, flavor and love
Menu
Cray Taste Old City offers delicious food with real crab meat on their crab fries and the best-stuffed French toast. Customers enjoy chicken and waffles in a lively atmosphere with friendly and attentive service. The restaurant is a BYOB spot, with corkage fees for liquor and wine, making it suitable for celebrating special occasions like birthdays and brunch gatherings. The overall vibe is fun, especially with a DJ playing hit songs that keep energy high. Many visitors appreciate the supportive environment and the opportunity to take fun photos. While the location is closing on October 27th, the new spot is expected to continue providing a great experience. Some guests note that the music can be very loud during brunch, making conversation difficult, and suggest lowering the volume for a better dining experience. The staff generally works to get orders out in a timely manner, though a few reviews mentioned some dishes lacking seasoning and delays with certain appetizers. The restaurant has a casual, adult atmosphere with music and dress code that are not kid-friendly. Overall, Cray Taste Old City remains a popular choice for great food, lively fun, and memorable moments.
