We took our 11 year old son to the Musuem as he is a huge Revolutionary War buff. Being newly diagnosed as Celiac, we cautioned him that we may not be able to find anything "safe" to eat as a quick snack in the cafe. Much to our astonishment, the menu board offered several options of gluten free items, as well as a section on a shelf of gluten free snacks. Price was expected given the location, but his excitement at eating a gluten free personal pizza was well worth...
Unfortunately I did not have the best service here. Staff was busy orienting new members of staff at the time I visited so I waited several minutes to purchase a coffee and a cooler item. This is a nice space with decent foods to purchase such as soups and sandwiches. I just had a blah experience, one I don’t want to replicate.
I had a meal here after visiting the museum, and it was a good experience especially considering it is a cafe in the museum. I came at about 11:20 am. I had the egg and cheese on an English muffin and added bacon, which was $6. It was a great deal, they put a lot of bacon on it, and it was really crispy.It was toasted and warm and better than most breakfast sandwiches you'd get in a restaurant.
