The food was amazing as always, incredible flavors! The owner is also really nice, which makes the experience even better. It can get crowded, but it’s definitely worth the wait!

If you’re looking for real Korean food in Philly, you’ve got to check this place out! Their Seolleongtang has such a deep, comforting flavor — it honestly blew me away. The owner was super friendly and explained all the dishes in detail. Hands down, my favorite K-food spot in Philadelphia!

1.5 hours: 0 food, waiter didn’t even put in our order
if I could give this place zero stars I would, we went in as a large group of 10 into an empty restaurant and got seated immediately. we quickly placed our orders with our waiter who went around the entire table taking our orders but skipping some of us. we had to call him back to make sure he actually got all of our orders.
10 minutes later he comes back and asks half of our table for our orders again. we tell him our orders again and he writes them down again. 20 minutes later one soondae guk and one seafood pancake arrives. but nothing else arrives
we wait for 20 more minutes but nothing arrived. a manager/owner comes over and asks why we haven’t ordered already and we told him we did but we haven’t gotten it. he apologizes, comps us mandus and checks on our waiter. our waiter comes and says it will come soon
10 more minutes pass, our waiter comes and says he just wants to double check our order. he retakes everyone’s order but at this point of time about an hour passed so we are getting a little tired of waiting.
we have a event at 6:30 so we had a hard cutoff at 6:15 so we call our waiter and ask him how much longer it is going to take. he comes back from the kitchens and says it’s 20 minutes more and he can’t do anything to rush it and it’s not his fault.
we tell him we understand but we have to leave so we will take any food they made already as takeout. as we are paying and leaving, the waiter says he actually never placed our order until the very last time because the kitchen was very busy( when we initially came in there was no one)
very disappointing to wait 1.5 hours, not get our orders place and leave with nothing.
the banchan was nice tho

I visited DDUKBAEGI Korean Restaurant, the true champion of K-food! The neatly prepared side dishes and the rich, flavorful seolleongtang soup were the perfect way to warm up on a cold day. The staff were very kind, and the restaurant was clean and comfortable. Highly recommended!

This place is excellent! I ordered the stone pot spicy squid with mild spice, and it was the best decision I’ve ever made. The flavor was amazing, and the portion was generous. Plus, the price is very reasonable! If you're craving Korean food, I highly recommend coming here!
I ordered the squid bibimbap sizzling stone pot rice, and it was absolutely delicious, full of flavor and perfectly cooked. Definitely recommend this place.

My favorite Korean place in the city now! Food feels homemade and has the right balance. Not too oily which is often an issue.

This is our favorite Korean restaurant in the area! The hot stone spicy pork and Korean chicken soup are our top picks. The pork cutlet is really good too, and my kids especially enjoy the bone broth soup. The square kimchi side dish is one of the best we’ve ever had. Always a great meal here!

Best soups in the Philly area that I have had! The gamjatang and sundaegook were both delicious, glad we finally have a good korean restaurant with a good soup selection in the area!

You can tell this restaurant is really trying, but unfortunately, with only one person working, it was hard to get timely service and the food came out a bit cold. That said, our server was working incredibly hard and did their best under the circumstances. We’ll definitely give them another try in the future and hope they can get more staff to match their effort.

A good friend was coming over, so I grabbed some takeout from ddukbaegi to pair with drinks. Their bossam and spicy snail salad were so spot-on that I couldn’t believe I’d found a place around here that does them this well. Now I’m already plotting which dishes to try next. The only “problem”? The food was so good it made me drink more than I planned—but honestly, I’m not mad about it. This place has definitely earned a spot on my repeat list.

Very clean and authentic Korean restaurant. I’d been struggling to find a good Korean restaurant in Philly and I’m glad I found this place, although it’s about a 30min drive out. I highly recommend their Yukgaejang and Gamjatang. Their Haemul Pajeon is also crispy and not fishy at all. Will definitely be returning!

Pretty pleasant experience. Side dishes are good, not much variety but you get the essentials. My 육개장 was great, and my partner enjoyed her 감자탕.
Will be visiting again.

Came here a few times just to try everything at least once. It was very daunting to see an empty restaurant especially when the food is great here! The first visit was great! Service was amazing compared to other korean restaurants. They were nice and attentive in refilling waters and banchan. The other visits were very much lacking in service and lack of variety in banchan sadly, still came in support! Seafood pancake was delightfully crispy on the outside and paired nicely with the kimchi. Mandu was also crispy and didn’t need any sauce since it was already flavorful by itself. Yukgaejang came out piping hot in their stone bowl. Great beef flavor, not as oily as others that I’ve had and loved that they added glass noodles. Bibimbap with pork was nicely cooked, perfect combination of sweet and savory. Kimchi jjigae tastes very different from what I usually like. It was a very strong tomato bisque flavor that cut through the subtle taste of kimchi. Not something, I would get again. After a few minutes, I had to ask for the rice on the side because they forgot. Ask for cold noodles, they do not have it listed on the menu, but some places do offer seasonal items which you only need to ask. Unfortunately my experience ordering it was offputting as it came with a hair on my egg. I lost my appetite after they replaced it. It came with 2 slices of beef and a nice crisp slice of an apple. Noodles were perfectly chewy and loved that they gave vinegar and mustard to add some variety to the flavor. Took a few bites then took the rest home.
