today i stopped by dolce & caffè in Northern Liberties and was initially drawn in by how cute and vibrant it looked from the outside — the red exterior definitely catches your eye! so, i was a bit surprised to find the interior pretty minimal and gray in comparison. it’s not unpleasant, just kind of plain given the charm outside.
the entire food menu is written in chalk when you walk in (which adds a nice casual vibe) and they actually have some great options. i ordered the pacifico crepe and an iced dirty chai. the chai was a little milky and light in flavor for my taste, but still enjoyable. the crepe? amazing. really generous with the lox, super flavorful, and very filling. i loved the basil pesto sauce they put on top.
my only hesitation is the price — i spent around $30 for just the crepe and one drink. that felt a little steep, but the quality was definitely there. i’d come back to try more of their food for sure, especially if you’re in the mood to treat yourself.

I decided to give this cafe a try this morning and was beyond unsatisfied. Upon walking in, it was crowded and you could not smell an ounce of coffee. There was a woman behind the counter scrambling to take care of the line she had. While someone who seemed like the owner sat in the back on his phone drinking his expresso while she struggled, offering no help. I knew he had to have worked there because he later started yelling very loudly on the phone about the place which was so ignorant to all of the people in there. I asked how long food would take since it was taking a while to even get waited on at the counter and she really had no clear answer and said others were waiting for food as well. We ordered coffee and I got a croissant which wasn’t warmed or anything. The coffee was completely milk, not an ounce of coffee in there. Hence why I said you can’t even smell coffee at all. It tasted like bad chocolate milk and it was a waste of all the time we spent waiting. The man in line behind us left because he got fed up with waiting too. It wasn’t the fact that they were busy, nobody was helping this girl. I spent almost $20 for basically just flavored milk and a croissant. Super disappointing since this place looks so adorable from the outside.

A very cozy morning spot that I would return to. I ordered the, ‘liberta del nord’ and it was amazing 10/10.
The veggie freshness, sandwich design and flavor were perfect for an early morning sandwich. I wasn’t a big fan of the drink due to me not reading. I saw peach and jumped, but the black tea would’ve made me not get it. Excellent customer service and ambiance.

grab food on the go, was unsatisfied with taste, go to return because it wasn’t what we wanted and even after paying over $15 for a croissant and hot chocolate and tipped her she refused to refund me for my sandwich. Poor service, and I am disputing with my bank in full for my refund. My nail tech also said that she was given a stomach bug from the food here.

Excellent coffee shop with an Italian touch. I've had a coconut latte and a chai latte, both perfect. The breakfast sandwiches and paninis are delightful. I highly recommend it.
