Had such a great time here. The atmosphere was elegant but also comfortable. The entire staff was super friendly and attentive, and the drinks were absolutely amazing. A shoutout to my server, Jess—she was wonderful and really made it a great experience. It’s also in a perfect location near several popular theaters in Philly, making it a great spot for pre- or post-show drinks. Definitely a place I’d come back to and recommend!

Sunday Supper is a must try! For $40, three courses and the servings are beyond. It’s the best way to end a weekend and avoid the Monday Scaries.

The best London fog I’ve had in this city. Hands down. The steak and eggs were incredible.

Enswell is a lovely cafe that offered us a small but well stocked menu. The tuna confit shandwich was very good and showed me what I've been doing wrong when I make my own. My wife liked her prosciutto sandwich on a soft roll but the olives baked with garlic, herbs and more, while good, could have had a few more olives. The space feels classy and the service was prompt and friendly. We ended up there on a Monday after finding other choices were closed for lunch early in the week. It was a pleasant surprise.

Absolutely wonderful experience. We didn’t have a reservation, but Allison at the door (excuse if I am misspelling the name) double checked that there was space and sat us. The food was tasty and timely. We had the Benedict eggs, the French omelette, and a croissant for our little one. I also got coffee and a glass of rose. Our server was Cody and he was super attentive and even brought us sides to see if we would like them with our order (without even asking for them) - the service was amazing. We were discussing with Cody how I had been to ritzy restaurants but the service was disappointing. The good vibes in this place was a refreshing experience. Highly recommend. :)

Incredible small plate dining experience. The dishes were creative and delicious; the drinks were inspired; and the staff were thoughtful and attentive. Tried 7 dishes overall and each was impressive from the tuna crudo, to the beef carpaccio, to the variety of pastas, to the chocolate dessert. The Haymaker was a wonderfully crafted drink. Overall, a fantastic experience in an intimate and beautiful space.

I’ve been to Enswell about 3 times, but the last time the staff claimed that all of our IDs were fake (we’re all over 21 and have been for years). I had great experiences prior to this and vouched to specifically bring friends here for their first time in Philly as a warm welcome given the cool aesthetic of the place. Instead, we left anxious and just shocked. I’m typically the type to never write a bad review, but I would advise on having a back-up place in mind in case this happens to you, too.

My god the food is inedible.
Chicken cutlet caesar- the breaded chicken was old for sure.
The quinoa veggie thing- 0 flavor and also tasted old and soggy.
Go to darling jacks instead

Popped in for some drinks between events and will for sure be going back. The vibe is of course gorgeous, but the drinks were unique and delicious. And everyone who worked there was SO kind.

What an outstanding experience. The two greeters were helpful and friendly, the waiter was charming, attentive and outstanding and the food was delicious. It''s a bit crowded and noisy but it was perfect for celebrating our granddaughter singing in the Nutcracker. The waiter honored her with a complimentary beverage - she was so proud. It was convenient to The Academy of Music and parking nearby at 1500 Spruce.

Restaurant was nice and bright. Very small area. Place does not seat a lot of people. We sat at the bar which only seats 4. Food was delicious. Staff was friendly. Try the haymaker drink- very good.

I’ve been here twice now and each time I’m told exactly how much time I have before the place closes. At one point, the lights were turned up at 10:15pm on a Saturday to send me and my friends a signal to leave.
It’s a stunning place and location. Cocktails and presentation are delicious and beautiful.
