Stopped by Food On the First Floor Diner for breakfast, and honestly, it was just okay. Nothing special, but nothing terrible—until I got the bill. $7.99 for two pancakes? $4.99 for two eggs? And the coffee, which is usually a good indicator of a diner’s quality, was completely average. Not bad, but definitely not worth the price. My bill was $59 for 2 people having what’s suppose to be the cheapest meal).
Look, I get that times are tough and costs are up, but hitting your regular, working-class customers with these kinds of prices feels a little excessive. I won’t be coming back.

Extremely good food. Didn’t seem exciting at first but we were very pleasantly surprised. Tasted homemade in a good way, and my wife has an extremely limited diet but was still able to find food that was delicious. Prices were very reasonable.

Went there several times and was spoiled early on by having always been served by a waitress who was super-professional and super-nice (wish I knew her name to give credit--thin young woman with dark hair). Early on even the counter persons seemed very friendly and food was always acceptable, which is what I would expect from a "greasy spoon" like this. However, on my last visit, I had a different waitress and though not out-and-out rude, seemed to cringe whenever I asked her for something--WHICH WAS ONLY 2 TIMES!
Then I get to the counter with my credit card in hand and was told that they only take cash on weekends. (I guess I had only been there on weekdays because I always paid with a card.) Probably seeing my displeasure, the cashier very demonstratively points to a sign taped to the counter announcing the rule and says "See." Who in the hell walks into a diner and says "Let me go to the counter and look for house rules that might be taped there?" Post that on the door and/or inform people verbally as they walk in--BEFORE THEY EAT!
After experiencing the poor service from the waitress and the weird weekend rule, my whole opinion of the place changed. Instead of being a kind of cool, friendly place to get a quick bite of decent food, it then became a place I never wanted to step foot in again. And I haven't.

This is a little diner in center City. Seems like breakfast is what they're known for and the breakfast is pretty good. The lunch items like cheesteaks, burgers and cold sandwiches are just average run of the mill diner fare. Reasonably priced for center City but nothing special about the food. They do deliver quickly so if your in a time crunch for lunch they will get it to you. The pictures in the menu do not match the product as even the rolls are different.

It was a diner, nothing special about it. However, the attitude of the cashier was deplorable. She was rude and disrespectful and is in need of customer service training while dealing with a diverse population. I understand that working with the public can sometimes be challenging and demanding, but that is never an excuse to try to belittle your patrons. Do better!

Great spot for breakfast. Good prices and the food was really good. Beats hotel food by a long way. Right in the heart of Philly.

It seemed like a good idea but… what a disastrous service! I ordered a breakfast and asked for bacon to be added (didn't happen). The coffee was quite bad (very watery) but, well, it is more typical there. The toast wasn't bad but the waitress didn't feel like working very much, I understand that her working conditions must not be very good but... she couldn't get her foot in the door. There was a big bot in the tip box and I went to put the tip in there, the waitress took the money out of my hands and kept it. I didn't say anything but it was very strange.
Surely I was unlucky that day.

Waiter was HORRIBLE, didn’t know anything about the menu. And we ordered a pizza and never got it
Had a great time grabbing a quick breakfast here. The food came out quick and was good, exactly what you'd expect. Pictured is the bacon, egg, and cheese on a kaiser roll, bacon was crunchy with eggs were perfectly cooked on it. The pancakes were big and with the fruit topping we got was fabulous! I would also like to shout out the hot chocolate, shit was delicious.
